Urgh I could hear The Killers concert from my garden many miles away from Phoenix Park. Urgh. I thought it was some asshole neighbour having a little party it was that loud (and clear enough to hear the words)

I got the shortest haircut ever for the same reason. Don't have beard related issues though. Too warm to operate efficiently with a flop of hair.

As for Thurles. MON FLAH'S BAIS!!! Would be the biggest shock of the Summer, nevermind yer Londons. Shefflin on the bench is a ridiculous gamechanger when he'll come on. If I was the Waterford boss with the Dwaghada accent I'd stick a mask on Brick and make sure he takes out Sheff before the match. Get young Barron to say he did it for the Rock.

Gutted. Thought we had it going into ET. :(

Watching Steven Seagal take a polygraph in The Glimmer Man on rte two.
Tester: Did you ever climb Mount Everest?
    Seagal: Yes

    What a humble man.

Cory Monteith, aka the main guy from Glee, is dead. Jaysus, that one surprises me...

Very young age to die at. Never really watched Glee, but even so that's pretty sad.

Hoping for a Luimneach win. Mulcahy and Tobin are lovely hurlers.

I LOVE that Cyril Farrell talks about sharing Sangwidges with neighbours after a game.
    LOVE IT!

GAA fans are such a rural cliche these days it's not funny anymore. Seems old fashioned redneck is the in thing. Pitch invasions and hip hip hooray my hole.

They are what they are. Beats sitting at home waxing lyrical on the internet about the latest continental team du jour like half the hipsters on the SF anyway.

Championship us real and tangible. It belongs to all of us, not least "rural rednecks". Scenes like the Limerick fans today, Anthony Daly in tears last Sunday or the atmosphere that filled the stand last night in Thurles when we dared believe we might topple the KK greats in extra time - you cant get that anywhere else or at any other sport in Ireland. These guys represent me, they went to school with us, tomorrow they'll go to work side by side with their supporters. They're the difference between one of those rednecks getting a trip to Dublin in the next decade or not. Look down your nose all you like if its not cool or trendy enough for ya but Id wager none of them give a sh*te whsts said on a wrestling forum about them. They are who they are and don't have to apologise to anyone for it!

I'm not against anyone enjoying anything. We have seen some great entertainment this season no doubt. It's when people put on the redneck bugs me. They are not like that the rest if the year so why during championship season? It's the same as Irish people singing in English accents when they go to a match. Contrived and cringey.

Just gonna edit that there. Thought it was a "only rednecks watch GAA" thing. Don't notice the faux redneck thing myself.

Diabhal typed this while eating a bag of Tayto and finishing off the last of the tea in a MiWadi bottle.

Thiago off to Bayern. Cue Utd fan meltdown. The next few seasons are going to sort the wheat from the chaff amongst the support base. You can hear the rumblings of discontent vs Moyes from some of the most hysterical kids beginning already after a friendly defeat and the fact that no one has signed on yet.

Any of ye climb Croagh Patrick? Making my return from exodus this year. Ready to take out any elderly people in my way.

    Ah gerrup ouwwa dah.

Nice to see Dublin doing well though after making a habit of screwing up annually for quite a while.

Dublin screwing up is one of the highlights of my year :(

It was more annoying cause of all the fairweather supporters going on my facebook today about how great the team is cause they "always believed" or some junk, I ended up blocking a bunch of them as a result.

Oh yeah there's a good few fairweather fans. I think attendance levels were very low before the latter stages, weren't they?

I have to admit I'd only keep aware of games once summer starts. I should take more of an interest really.

Many ManU fans only know the unprecedented success of the Fergie era. Many of these are the ones who called for his head 10 years ago. If Moyes does not hit the ground running, many ManU fans will be Chelsea fans by the end of the season. The atmo at OT will be pretty poisonous as well.

I always wonder will all those soppy foreign fans sod off if a trophy drought were to happen.

Irish ones i doubt. They have been fans for too long, but the far east fans and sponsors could be at risk.

Such a silly argument. Do people really believe the team is suddenly going to fall apart because the manager is gone.

Look at what Moyes proved with Everton.

I will happily give him 3 years to win his first trophy but I'm betting the lowest he finishes next year is second. I think we will win the league by 10+ points

Name me a county that wouldn't have people who normally wouldn't show and interest suddenly jump on the bandwagon if they started doing well though? Happens everywhere, in every sport, its not just a Dublin thing. See Munster rugby, the clamour for final tickets in Waterford a few yers ago, or on a wierder level the numbers of massibe Barca fans you meet these days (when you'd never have met one ten years ago). Bandwagond happen everywhere. Its just more amplified when its Dublin because most of the media is based in Dublin and theres a million people in the county.

I for one was very happy for them winning the hurling in Leinster and I would be quite happy to see them with another football AI as the current manager has them playing very attractive attacking football, in the way it should be played.

I never said other counties wouldn't get it, but I got a fairly focused dose of it, so I'd say it's understandable it'd annoy me at the time.
