Watching the Xbone conference right now. Dead Rising 3. I am fairly aroused now...

€500 fock that is steep in 2013, bit of a downer when you compare Dollars to Euros.

I was expecting 600-700€ tbh, so am happy enough with €500. Seem to be in the small minority though.

Think I need to just leave the net for a few days. The negativity about the Xbone seems completely over the top to me. I get there are some genuine concerns, but I can't wrap my head round the "Well it's a PS4 for me then" mentality when only a few weeks back, the PS4 was being slated and we've got no new news since then. We don't know it's stance on DRM or price or anything like that, but apparently knowing facts isn't needed to declare the PS4 the winner already :P

Consoles are always overpriced so the diehards will shell out for that launch window purchase. Considering it's cheaper than an iPad and various other overpriced gadgets I'm not outraged by any stretch! What you wanna do is wait for wave 2 of games and the first price drop circa October 2014. That shall be the time to strike!

Ah 500 ain't bad I was just hoping for around 420. Can't even consider getting it now with my internet. There is plenty still to play on the 360 for me this year, my backlog is getting shameful at this stage.

    Anyone watching Britain's Got Talent?

During one performance, one of the string quartet backing preformers stood up and started throwing eggs at Simon Cowell :pac:

All a work set up by Simon for ratings no doubt :p

Weather sh*te again, the rain is back :(

Good! Sick of being too warm all the time. And scrotes using a bit of heat to act even more scrote-ish than normal.

We're not built for the warm. Aboy rain.

Couldn't agree more with ya my Waterfordian colleague. We had 11 days without rain here and sweltering sun. The traffic is lethal, sunburn, more flies around the place, looking like an actual fountain while jogging, too bright to fall asleep and the office is like a sauna.

I don't have any problem with sun but 11 straight days is absolutely taking the piss. A sunny day here and there is perfect.

I could just about live with 2 days a week I suppose (including championship Sundays).

Yeah both Conferences were similar in quality in terms of Software but the DRM and price gave them a landslide win. The Vita seems to be a bit dead in the water though....and I only got one last week.

No one can deny that sony thoroughly destroyed microsoft. They have won the war before the battle has even started IMO. The vastly general consensus online agrees also.

Oh and I also loved the shít eating grin on the sony rep when he was talking about DRM :pac: The crowd lapped it up

Definitely going with the PS4 after watching E3 yesterday.

Used games is a big thing for me. I basically complete a game these days then sell it on adverts or trade it in against another game to get most of my money back.

Just hope most of my mates like myself that have Xbox 360s make the switch over.

Ill put down a pre order in Smyths during the week.

The price of the ps4 is really good. Hate that it well not play ps3 games so I well have to keep the ps3.

How much was the ps3 when it came out?

    It was about 600 iirc.

Even more, I thought. Figure that sticks in my head is €675, unless that was the price for some bundle deal to get an extra game and controller.

Edit: Just checked and you were right, €600 at launch. My figure of €675 was likely a bundle price.

I still remember my brother getting the PS2 around launch and it was £479 Irish pounds. Not sure what that would be today.

The thing I was impressed about most was that the kits in Fifa 2001 had sponsors and logos on them  :P

FF15 and Kingdom Hearts 3 will both come out on Xbox.

The two games I was terrified were PS4 exclusive are not. Awesome.

Its so stupid clubs can't get buses for having to travel that far.

Fcuking hell, the Spain bench would destroy the Ireland first team.

It's like Vader vs Zac Ryder.

Except Vader hits very hard with Striking whereas Spain are blunt at taking chances until late into the game.
Why is Busquets or any holding mid playing its not like we're up to much going forward and even if we did they'd hardly stop us.

I wonder how the footballing world would react if Messi did indeed end up going to jail for a couple of years for tax evasion...

A new The Longest Yard film :p

I find it hard to take that serious €4m is such small fry for him he must earn 5 times that in a year tbh. I wouldn't be shocked if footballers accountants stole a load of money off them tbh, it'd hardly be difficult to fool them when so many of them can be fooled so easily by agents.

The stories I've heard of newly rich people putting their relatives in charge of their books and getting robbed blind are numerous. And this is in Ireland. Can only imagine that it happens very regularly (don't check my bank acc).

The problem is a lot of guys hire people and trust them. Footballers have no interest in doing their own tax returns and can be screwed

Call me late to the party, but Game of Thrones is ****ing awesome!

Just finished episode 9 of the first series, one more to go. Really should have started it sooner.

Trying to get caught up before whatever big twist occured last week is spoiled on me :P
