Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Where are all the Mozarts and Beethovens?

    Why doesn't anyone write like the traditional and most famous composers anymore? How come there's no more symphonies or concerto grossos? If you know of any traditional composers I'd love to know!

    Do you mean composers who write like that or are you referring to music as a whole? Things move on, styles change, if everyone just created the same stuff the world would be a pretty boring place. If you want composers who write like Beethoven and Mozart then the best music you could listen to would be, you guessed it, Beethoven and Mozart! :) No one writes like Beethoven and Mozart better than Beethoven and Mozart!
