After 3 days in a row drinking last weekend (for the 1st time in about 2-2.5 years I'd say....) I said no beer this weekend.

After the weather today I had to get something in to sip. O'Hara's Pale Ale seems to get nicer every time I drink it. Probably number 2 behind Brewdog's Punk in (I)PA league

Has anyone had the "O'Shea's" from Lidl?

Brewed by Carlow Brewing Company also, they say on the beer forum that the stout is exactly the same as a rebadged O'Hara's "regular" and the pale ale is practically the same (but €1 cheaper).

Had the stout, it's perfectly acceptable. Didn't do a side by side with the O'Hara's, but I would consider it as near as damned to the more expensive version... I've got 2 bottles of Leann Follain for this evening, cracking the first one open now, a God amongst beverages that is...

I got 3 O'Hara's, 2 ale for tonight & one LF for tomorrow

    Currently on the 3rd.....

Leann Follain is without doubt the best stout ever & fast becoming my favourite of all alcoholic drinks. Must see can I muster a few troops for a tour of the brewery.

I actually rock from side to side when I hear that! Ha ha!!!!

**** me Leann Follain is the absolute job, what a drink.

Must annihilate the Tesco 3 for €7 offer that's available, of which the O'Hara's range is included

Never even thought to check Tesco, I was in super valu & spotted the two bottles of Leann follain, were less than €2.50 each so couldn't leave them behind.... A tour of the Carlow Brewing Company you say?? They're in Muine Bheag (or Bagenalstown if you prefer) if memory serves, short hop down from Dublin, I wouldn't volunteer to be designated driver for that day out though, you'd have to sample the wares in fairness!!!

Spent the day in Arann. Stunning beauty. On days like today, Ireland has no equal.

Can you watch any GAA game on RTE player or is it just the game that's live on TV?

i.e. can I watch Wexford v Louth online today?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,408 ✭✭✭ft9

Would you seriously consider watching that over a game of hurling?

You can only watch the game that's being shown on the box, as far as I know.

Just reading the Irish Times here. Interview with someone from Molson Coors. Coors light alcoholic sparking water is now the 4th most popular "beer" in Ireland.

When I read sh!te like that I always think back to when I worked for a German company, used to always be asked how Irish people drank so much rubbish beer. I could never give an answer tbh

    I'm never drinking again.

Listened to a bit if Newstalk when in the car/park (on iPhone) today.

Usual sh!te, Dublin not involved in a Leinster football match so nobody had a bloody notion about either counties. It's pathetic, RTE are the same on the Sunday Game

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,669 ✭✭✭Colonel Sanders

Still a 1st championship win is nowt to complain about. Will watch the Sunday Game before deliberating but sounds like Wexford were proper ****ed at the end of the game.

Meath next (assuming they beat the Larry's). Will surely be a Croke Park double header with the Dublin v Kildare game.

Ripper of a day today. Beach early doors, back home at 4 for ice cream, hurling on the box & a small spot of gardening, marinated chicken & lamb skewers for the dinner, kids already asleep in the bed now so it's feet up & relaxation time... I even discovered 2 bottles of Paulaner in the back of the press when tidying up earlier, went straight into the fridge so I'll have one during the Sunday Game later on... Sheer bliss
