Not at all. Did you read the post I wrote about ordering through Flubit (link in sig)? Flubit know that you're in Ireland and they don't mind one little bit. Since they found out about Parcel Motel, they've been encouraging Irish customers to shop with them. They're the ones doing the order with Google on your behalf and as they're in the UK, they don't need to VPN and they use their own UK-based payment method. Google are either none the wiser or they turn a blind eye.

No, you still have to use the NI depot address. You can't use the Dublin depot address. It's just a loophole that Flubit are more than happy to take advantage of. If you read my post (http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056940002), I've put in my own experiences with them and how they helped me return a defective Nexus 4 and receive a new one to my PM within 6 days, and they were very aware of where I was located.

You should also check out their Facebook page. They've made plenty of announcements to market their efforts to get Irish customers, but we still need to use the NI address.

So I do everything as normal except I put in the NI depot...
Then does the phone get shipped from there to my house?
Sorry with the twenty questions I just need to get it right! With nothing to go wrong! Ha

You need to sign up to Parcel Motel and get your PMID. This will be part of the address, so they know where to forward the parcel once it reaches the depot. Otherwise they stick the parcel into "query" status and it stays put and possibly gets returned to sender, unless the issue of where it's supposed to go is resolved.

Once you sign up with Parcel Motel, you'll designate a motel where they parcel will be forwarded to. There are motels all around the country. Dublin has quite a few, also, so you can designate one near you. When the parcel arrives at the motel, you'll get a text and an email to let you know. You can pick it up 24/7 once you get that notification as the motel is completely automated.

You really should read my post. There's answers to everything that you've asked so far in it, and there's likely answers to any other questions that you might have.

Well My Nexus was dispatched on the 3rd from Birmingham, and I am now staring at my phone waiting for the code to go pick it up, my only previous PM experience resulted in a 2-3am text message, Just a matter of waiting now.........

I'm not sure if it was just me, but I didn't get the text from PM until nearly 24hrs after it was ready to be collected (I got notified via email).

My phone was left in a puddle this morning for about 5-10mins.

Have it sitting in a bag of rice at the moment. So sad :(

Keep it in the rice and put it in the hotpress for a few days.

    Same here, thanks.

@DECEiFER, where do I find the DIR number for tracking with Parcel Force? I can't see it anywhere on the UTI tracking page, does it only appear when the shipment gets to Dublin or is picked up by Parcel Force?

Thanks, its only literally just after changing to the DIR number for me there now, previously it was some other number that didn't work with Parcel Force, seems to be correct now though so hopefully will get an update from Parcel Force tonight!

Check the mobile number you have registered with parcel motel as it could be strong. I get the notification text less than a minute after they close the door of the locker.

Do you put DIR + the number or just the number in the Parcel Force website? Neither seems to work for me

Well mine was loaded onto the delivery vehicle in Belfast at 09:34, so fingers crossed I should receive an email or text very soon. Would be 17 days of a wait.

I'm not surprised to hear they are unavailable now, if that is just through flubit It seems they provide a good service but most complaints seem to be relating to buying a Nexus 4.

may be better to buy in ebay?

Have you seen that somewhere? I seem to be still able to request an offer on the Nexus 4 16 GB and on the Nexus 10 too.

No it's never there right away so you'd have to keep checking back until it appears. It'll only be useful once it gets to Dublin anyhow.

It never seems to work until around 10pm-12am on the night it reaches Dublin (ie. the night before the afternoon when it arrives in NI). Both the Parcel Force and GLS tracker work, but don't expect it until late.

    How did you check?

You check by signing into your Parcel Motel account and heading to the members' area. It'll be shown there along with a photograph of it once it checks in. But you won't be notified until it reaches your designated motel so it's up to you to sign in and check. It usually arrives at the depot just after 11am and gets put on the system before 2pm, so check between those times.

    no sign of it today.

Didn't it ship yesterday? Chances are it's in Dublin now and that DIR number (which you put in as is and don't prepend or append to any other number) will become active tonight on Parcel Force and GLS. If so, then expect its arrival at Parcel Motel tomorrow and you can check by logging in between 11-2; it should be put up by then.

Depending on where you are, it might be at your motel by tomorrow night not long before it's dark (Dublin) or Friday morning before you even wake up.
