Just got a 5% off offer from flubit on a nexus 10 32gb. I wont be able to order til tomorrow though. Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly.

In the e-mail from flubit it says "All transactions on Flubit are done via PayPal, however you can pay with your Credit/Debit card if you do not have a PayPal account."
Is this a recent thing because i've read a few posts with people giving out about being fleeced by paypals exchange rate. I also did what was suggested a few pages back to get around this (making a purchase in another currency but stopping short of completing the purchase).

Got another update there from Miss Dilek Koluman. I have to say, between her and David, they are really doing a great job of keeping me in the loop. She says that she has checked with the supplier but does not have dispatch confirmation yet, but when this becomes available she will let me know as a matter of urgency.

I ordered it from them on the 8th of this month, so I am not getting too impatient as I know others had much longer waits through flubit with the 16gb version, but I got my hopes up as they sold yesterday to me as being 'the day' :D

I didn't see an option for selecting a different payment method but I didn't look very hard as I was happy to use PayPal, setting it up so I wouldn't get fleeced by its exchange rate.

Looking through this thread I'm left slightly confused about ordering one from Flubit. I placed a demand in and have yet to receive the offer, what do I do next? Do I need to change my address with my bank using this method?

I know you have to use parcel motel and their NI address. How straight forward is this method? Is their a step by step breakdown available? Thanks.

OK, wait for the offer from Flubit and use PM as your delivery address. no having to change anything as PM know where to leave it and Fulbit are happy to use them ... Google are cool with it too it seams... it just takes a little longer.

I bought the phone from Google unfortunately...
So, will they sent me a new device with return envelope for faulty device?
If they do any problems to collect the faulty phone from Ireland What should I tell them guys? Any advice?

Just don't mention when you call TNT for collection that it's going to Poland. The account number of the TNT customer (Computer 2000 / Google) is in the UK. We're in Ireland. Poland is a third variable that isn't allowed. Leave it out when you're arranging the collection or lie if you're asked (say it's going to the UK - play dumb like as if you didn't read the label properly). When the driver comes, say nothing to him about the "mistaken" destination and just let him take it and drive off into the sunset.

Hmmm.... but If driver realize wrong address he would reject collection?

Here's hoping! Just got another email about half an hour ago, this time from David. He says that the order processed fine and is due for dispatch tomorrow apparently. He will send me the tracking number when he has it, saying also that they usually receive them in bulk at the end of the day.

That's cool. It'll be in Dublin the day after it ships and then at PM by the next day (day 3). From there it depends on your location whether you'll be able to collect it that night or the next morning.

So if it ships tomorrow then it could be Monday night or Tuesday morning for you.

Hardly impatient if you've been waiting over a fortnight. Dispatch was supposed to take 2-3 working days. I ordered my 16GB Nexus 4 on the 15th and I'll be a bit annoyed if it hasn't shipped on or before Friday (as I was told it would be).

Excellent! Keeping everything crossed now that it ships tomorrow and that there are no more hiccups or delays. Hope yours is treating you well!

@Fnz Well this is it, it says 2-3 days so I suppose I should have long received it by now. I saw though how long others were taking to get their phones, so I suppose I was prepared for the wait (and still am prepared for more delays!). If it had shipped on time it would have been an added bonus :) Hopefully Google are getting on top of things again and our orders should be despatched! I'll post any updates I get here.

The debit has appeared on the CC statement too..... but still no word on dispatch/shipping. Case is on its way. Getting one of those Acase Superleggera Pro yokies. They look amazing on the phone.

I know its not ages, ordered on 20 April but I might ping them to see if they have any idea when the phone will arrive. I've sold my old phone so phoneless right now. Is it Flubit or Fireworks that I need to chase?

I think its definitely worth getting on to them even just as soon as their '2-3 days' handling time expires, don't know if it's coincidence or not but there was no progress at all for me last week and as soon as I sent them an inquiry things starting happening.
I got no tracking information from their order page on the website either, only got that by having a dialogue with their support.
I sent a support question directly from the order page on flubit, and the reply I got was from Fireworks so I reckon they both go to the same place and it won't matter which way you contact them.

Just ordered a nexus 10 through flubit. When I put in the parcel motel address i couldn't change the country at the end of the address from Ireland to UK. Is this likely to be a problem?

You should have added the address on the payment page instead of using the regular way through the PayPal Profile section. Doing it on the payment page should have allowed you to select the UK. I'd throw Flubit an email just to make sure, but others have done this and it hasn't been a major deal, I don't think.

Nice! Apparently Parcel Motel sent the biscuits and the t-shirts as a gift to Flubit, probably for the newly-added Parcel Motel affiliation links on Flubit's website.

    Follow on from yesterday:

I got a message at about half six from Miss Dilek Koluman. Fireworks haven't been given a tracking number for my order yet. She says she will chase it up for me.

In summary, everything went as expected: Excellent service from Fireworks and another delay from Google :pac:

I take back what I said about Google! David just got back to me there with a tracking number and confirmation of dispatch, as well as flubit sending me their dispatch email :D here's hoping PM works....and that there are no issues with the phone itself. I can't take much more :)

I can't praise fireworks enough for their customer service.

EDIT: for anyone waiting on a 16gb model to dispatch, I ordered mine on the 8th of this month, so you can use that as a point of reference.

I suppose the ETA Monday night or Tuesday morning. Have Parcel Force got your tracking info up yet (use your DIR number from the UTI tracking that you got from Flubit)?

haha, counting down the minutes to lunch!
Hope your phone is working out okay for you. How're you finding it?

Posting from it now, not a single complaint! A savage piece of kit. I have a nexus 7 already but jelly bean really comes into its own on a phone, its such a pleasure to use. Couldn't imagine using anything but pure android from now on.
Thanks to you and everyone else for the help and advice during the process, safe to say without this thread I'd have given up on acquiring it.
