    Indeed.
and almost as soon as I posted earlier I got the tracking number too. wont be live for 24 hours apparantly. Hopefully that's all the potential hiccups out of the way and Parcel Motel does it's stuff, pretty seamless process for me it seems, huzzah

Typing from a Nexus 4, waiting a while to say that but worth the wait. The screen is bigger than my old phone :D and I now have 3 apps installed at the same time

But yeah after 15 minutes or so have to say I quite like this phone :)

    Cheers Raoul :D

No problem! Did you get the newest version?

I am just glad I have the whole nexus ordering debacle over and I can enjoy the nexus I got now!

It's the older version I think - no obvious nubs on it but I'll live. Probably will just pick up an edge protector when I get a chance.
First thing is to grab a micro sim card though :P going to be devastating having to pick up the old crap phone in the morning going to work and looking at the nexus sitting there asking to be used. :(

    Just cut the sim!

That's weird if its the older one, the nubs are really small but I am sure you would notice them.

I'm gonna order a nexus 10 32gb next week through flubit. Is it likely to take as long to arrive as the nexus 4 is for a lot of you?

Be very interested to hear of your experience doing this, Im considering doing the same.

Any idea how ordering this way affects your warranty or what the process is if you need to return it?

I think this should answer your question. It's from a post I made on April 14th.

I ordered [my Nexus 4] on March 26th and I got [it] on April 11th at 7am. The Easter weekend did slow things down a bit. In addition, within an hour of getting my phone, it broke. The display started showing artifacts and then went dead, but I suspect it could be the RAM. Not to worry, though, because the same could have happened if I ordered it from Google since Flubit never actually touch your order (it ships directly from Google). Nevertheless, I contacted Flubit immediately and requested an RMA. They were extremely helpful and got the ball rolling as quickly as I could provide the IMEI (which I didn't do until late Thursday evening). Flubit have to do the RMA since they're the ones that bought the device on my behalf from Google and it's not a bad thing because the RMA is an advance one and yet I don't have a hold on my card, that liability falls on Flubit and they have to have faith that I'll return the defective one in the time allowed. If I had bought the device from Google and it needed to be replaced, I'd have to start the RMA process and Google would have to put a hold on my card for the cost of the replacement until I returned the defective device (and of course, if they find the device is not defective after-all, they can technically yank the money from your account). Anyways, by Saturday (yesterday), they told me the replacement shipped and gave me a new tracking number, which indicates the shipping records began on Friday evening. All going well I'll have the replacement by Wednesday morning, bright and early.

In addition, the RMA process can be a tough one with Google. If you're lucky enough for them not to cancel the initial order that brought you a defective device due to a discrepancy in the billing vs. shipping address or because they're on to the fact that you're in Ireland via some other suspicion, they could cancel the replacement order for similar suspicions (since it's an advance RMA, they have to yet again authorize/hold your card for the cost of the phone). Their automated system can flag a problem very easily, resulting in your replacement phone being in limbo for a long time. There are posts in this thread pertaining to the problem, you can real all about it! With Flubit, that's a lot less likely to happen since they take care of the RMA and it's all on their Google Account. If they cancel on Flubit (which can happen), Flubit will just get the ball rolling again. At worst, it takes a little longer, but you'll always get a result with them. I've been using my replacement since last Wednesday and everything is going great with it, and it's all thanks to the great and swift support I got from Flubit.

Before odering any tablets I'd wait for Google IO in three weeks. They often announce new hardware at this.

The Nexus 10 has been around for a while now, may be replaced.

It's the Nexus 7 that's likely to get replaced as that was announced at last year's I/O. The Nexus 10 came out at the same time as the Nexus 4. There's rumors of an LTE Nexus 4 (32GB), though, but people expecting a whole new line of Nexus devices will most likely be out of luck as the 4 and 10 are far too new to be replaced outright.

Key Lime Pie is a certainty for Google I/O so with that means there will be at least one new device, its probably going to be the Motorola X phone which has all but been confirmed as running stock Android 5.0 and a new Nexus 7.

But there's still the possibility of Google pushing at least new variants of the Nexus 4,7 (old) and 10 and it looks like a price cut for the old Nexus 7 is on the cards too with 99$ being rumoured!.

The 10 only needs new internals which is an easy upgrade, they need to do something, sales are lower than Surface ;-)

I hate to say the 10 in its current format is not a great buy.

A tip for anyone reading this - don't use the cardboard from a cigarette box to make your own template and then use blunt scissors to attempt the cut :P also helps if you remember to mark which edge the corner cut out is, I currently have an octagon shaped sim card that doesn't get picked up by the N4 and I'm afraid to put it back into my old phone because I'll never get it out again.

No doubt though if I actually had a decent pair of scissors and ink in my printer to print an actual template it would have been a painless experience.

Not to worried anyways as I was intending to switch to 3 from Meteor anyways once I get the phone but does mean for the day I'm currently phone-less :o

Got an e-mail there. It was meant to be on it's way today (ordered on the 8th) but they say that they have not yet heard that it has dispatched from Google. They expect to hear in the next 24 hours.

Did it ever work or was it not turning on from the start? You have to hold the power button for a second or two and you should feel a vibration to indicate that it's about to power on, which is a change from my Galaxy S I9000 which requires less than a second of holding the power button to turn it on.

Also, did you attempt to connect the charger while it's powered off? After a number of seconds, the display should show a battery graphic to indicate that the phone is charging. I ask because it'd be interesting to know if you see the graphic and whether it could be the battery being completely flat that's preventing the phone from turning on.

I know these might be stupid questions but it's better safe than sorry.

My Nexus is two months old. Never had any problems with it until today. Phone switched off itself during the conversation on the phone. After that started restarting all the time and now is not working at all.

Ah, my apologies. I assumed it could have been DOA, or at least appeared that way. It sounds like it could be a battery issue but without getting a feal for the symptoms it's tough to pin-point what might be the culprit. Whatever the problem is, it doesn't really matter, you do need to RMA it. If you bought it directly from Google, as Cap'n Morgan said, it might be problematic. But you won't know until you get the ball rolling. Try to replicate the same procedure you did when you paid for the phone in terms of the card you used and the address.

You can call Google Play Devices Support on this number:
    +44 800 328 6081

Have your IMEI to hand (check the box or the delivery docket). If you don't have it, I'm sure they'll work around it.

Have you tried turning it on with the volume down button held to see if it goes into recovery mode?

I am in the middle of an RMA with Google.
Have to say I am having a nightmare. I got 2 RMA's cancelled on me using the same details as my original order.
Its obvious that I got lucky in the first place by receiving the original order.
I have sent about 50 emails and 6 phone calls to Google support.
I made my last phone call this evening to them. I was on the phone for 45 mins and got the guy to read all my emails and demanded he talk to a superviser while I wait.
I finally got put through to someone who agreed I could get a refund due to the nightmare I had of trying to get a replacement.
So I think(hope) now that TNT will send a package to my PM address in a couple of days and I will then send it back via TNT.
I will have to reconsider what phone I will get when/if my refund goes through.
Saying that u may be lucky and it will sail through
    Best of luck

If you haven't gone off the Nexus 4, you'll do much better ordering one from Flubit.

I know i'm just being totally impatient now (a bit giddy as its the first time I can afford a high end phone, just want it in my hands now :D) but how long did it take for parcel motel to update their site once they recieve the package in belfast with tracking information? and for it then to arrive at the motel? (I'm in Cork)

I put the DIR number into parcel force and it shows that it was signed for in Belfast at 11:20am this morning but there is no update on my account page on parcel motel.

You should get an update around now. Then for me in Dublin. I just got the update when it arrived in my parcel motel box which was around 8.30 at night. So for you in Cork, I would expect delivery some time tomorrow. :)

Lovely stuff, literally just as I was about to reply I refreshed parcel motel again, lo and behold it updates.
It's gas seeing the photo of the package, like being handed the first scan of your unborn child :D

Mine arrived in limerick 1st thing the following morning after arrival in Belfast so I'd imagine Cork would be similar.
