looking at the email from google and the address they use, seems they are pulling the same address trick as us:

    Phoned the customer service people.
Not much use. They were US based. Explained the situation. They said, that a replacement would have to be sent to uk, (as expected)
I asked to be put through to google wallet, to see if I could clear up the "multiple accounts". No real help, but seemed to suggest that it was possibly that the billing address on cc did not match records.
I think it may be the PM address that is causing the issue (when the cs person looked at my google account, he said that it looked like there were several phones on order to it, then he put me on hold for a minute before coming back and saying that he sees my one.)
Will try again (will ring the barrow st number)

    Thanks Rhonin for reply

interested to hear if anyone has been successful using PM recently. Looking back through the posts, it looks like the issue is relatively new

It is much more difficult - but regardless there's no way anyone should really consider justifying that much extra expense just to get a phone.
If Amazon or some other companies were selling at say €10-€20 over the price from the Play store I'd probably consider it as in fairness they have to get their cut but there's no way I could justify spending €50-€100 and more just to get a phone.

Really wish Google would release the phone over here or simply just turn a blind eye on Irish customers ordering through the UK store.

i got an offer from Flubit for a Nexus 10 for £316.49, which was 4% below Google Play. I was happy with that until i got to Paypal when making the payment and the Euro value came to €388.

I checked the current exchange rate Stg/Euro
    http://www.irishtimes.com/business/exchange-rates

    and £316.49 comes to €370.08

The Paypal rate/commission seems to be a rip-off. Is there any way around this?
Yup, don't use PayPal's exchange rate. Let them bill you in GBP and your bank will determine the rate.

To do this, you need to purchase something on else PayPal (for some reason, doing so on Flubit won't work as the option I'm about to mention doesn't show there). I did this yesterday and lobbed this into my PayPal just so I could make the change. When it brings you to the next screen after you login, you'll see an option (see screen shot below) to change your preference. This would be a global change affecting all of your purchases going forward. PayPal's rates are always a joke and your bank should be able to do better all of the time. Once done, just close out of the window and forget the purchase. Then head back to Flubit and try purchasing the tablet again. You'll only see the GBP price on PayPal and won't know the exact charge in Euro until the purchase makes it on to your statement.

Anyone considering screen protectors should really be looking right here:
    http://www.ebay.ie/itm/XtremeGuard-LCD-FULL-BODY-Screen-Protector-Shield-Skin-For-LG-Google-Nexus-4-/350649083772#ht_4034wt_1449
    (official manufacturer seller)

These seem to be the best ones out there in terms of features and also price. Less than €5 (inc. shipping) for a full body kit and while there's only one protector supplied for each side, at that price, you can't go wrong. The lifespan of the product given by the manufacturer is about 1-2 years. I ordered one yesterday in anticipation that my Flubit Nexus 4 order will be successful. I'm also planning on ordering the official bumper case through Flubit, I've put in a demand for it.

The official product page is here (with customer ratings):

Your better off getting it from the xtremeguard website at the moment. Its $5.98 from ebay for 1 + shipping. You can get 3 with free shipping for $5.10 from the site.

If you buy any 3 items you get 83% off. Doesn't have to be 3 of the same item.
    Use code 83off3

Thanks to Allyall in this thread here

Not bad. If there's free shipping and it applies internationally, go for it. Good coupon also, thanks for the heads-up!

I've already put my order through but it's still cheap as chips as there's only $1.30 in the difference, though ordering 3 for $4.68 items and selling two of them off at the original cost price...why not! Or give them away if you know any family or friends that might benefit from any of the items. Thanks again, Jet Black.

    hi guys,

i want to try and order the nexus 4 official bumper and in a few weeks the charging orb, i see a few bumpers on ebay but they are pricey and some arent the official ones.. Anyone know my best road to go or maybe have an official bumper they would like to shift?

    Cheers,
    mick

I bought about 5 cases for the nexus and didn't like any of them. I bought this and cant fault it. Its a great bumper, can't cover such a nice back. You get free super saver if you spend over £25.

Absolutely, there's no question about covering the back; don't do it!

How does that compare to the official bumper?

Can't really say but the official one looks much better, should have bought one while I had the chance as I've spent about €40 on cases. This is all I'm really willing to pay (and the cheapest I think there is) I would not pay what people are asking on eBay.

The poetic one does the job. The buttons are easy to access and it doesn't look too bad.

All going well I'll have the Nexus 4 and the official bumper case from Flubit. I'll post back if and when I get them.

No problem. Hopefully your bank can do better. 0.81p to the Euro is a blatant rip-off.

Anyone else receive theirs yet via Flubit? My initial iPhone 4S was stolen and I'm using an ancient phone with a broken screen, bad reception and bad connectivity until I get my replacement.

I'm getting fed up waiting, thinking of cancelling and just buying a new iPhone today.

I'm told that mine has shipped. It looks like it ships from Birmingham to Antrim Parcel Motel via Dublin :) Mine seems to have shipped yesterday and is in Dublin. So I guess Parcel Motel tomorrow, and I'll probably have it after the bank holiday weekend - so Tuesday until I get my hands on it.

And now I've a different confirmation of dispatch email from Flubit, telling me that one is on it's way to my Rep of Ireland address. I've no idea how many are arriving or where they're arriving to at this point!!
