Re: The clips and mags issue. I think sometimes ya'll forget that some people just see it as a game and aren't into learning correct terminology and so forth, so try not to let it annoy you.
I only mention it as I've seen a few young lads getting slagged for it, or for saying 'over and out' on the radio. It annoys me a little when grown men forget that they're running around dressed as army men with toy guns. No need to belittle others for not knowing as much as you. I understand at a Milsim etc a certain level is expected of players and I would agree, but I'm talking Sunday skirmish. Plus it creates a barrier to entry for new players. It's almost like calling someone a n00b on COD or some ****e.
Apologies for the rant, and I'm not targeting anyone specific or trying to snipe. I just saw it happen to a young lad a few weekends ago, and while he started off all enthusiastic and chatty, after the bit of slaggin he was dead silent for the rest of the game. You could visibly tell it affected him. Got me a little pee'd off at the older guys who did it. Would have been much nicer, and much more constructive, to explain the error, rather than (perhaps) leaving him feeling ostracised.

@KonFusion: I completely agree - I've seen that kind of thing happen quite a lot myself as well. Don't get me wrong, hearing things like 'clip' irks me...always sounded a little too 'gangsta' for me, and struck me as a word people use to make themselves look like they know what they're talking about. It's not something I'm terribly anal about, because we don't use correct terms for everything. No one does. It is a shame to see enthusiasm crushed
What does annoy me is hearing 'clips' in TV or movies where they are portraying seasoned military professionals, and I highly doubt the types of character would be caught dead uttering the wrong classification. That does chip away at me0 -
