    Hello XXXXXXX,

Thank you for using Google Wallet. In an ongoing effort to provide a safe purchasing environment, Google reviews orders on a regular basis.

no idea, so i called them on a US number i found on website, dublin number for "google commerce" doesnt work. Spoke to "mary-ann" in the states, she said sorry will send to investigations team and they will respond within 24hrs to say when I can re-place my order. I have only one ID ever with google so it doesn't make sense.

Mine was cancelled too just now. Did the whole tunnel bear and parcel motel routine.

The phone isn't available in Ireland, as much of the content of the Play store isn't available in Ireland. Basically Google are selling the phone at cost expecting to monitise via the Playstore, so I have no issue that it's not available here at that price. That won't stop me trying to order it though :)

I also ordered one on Flubit, and got an email yesterday saying that it's going to take longer to dispatch than I was originally informed, so I reckon that will be cancelled in the next day or two. However this was my own fault as I clicked the pay button so fast on Paypal that I didn't update my address to the parcel motel Antrim address. Doh!

So if that isn't dispatched, I will ask a friend in the UK to order pay and then ship to me.

Will be interesting to see if you get your order knowing that you have the wrong address with them. Let us know...

Used Flubit myself a few days ago and am waiting any change in status from them.

Ordered 18 days ago. Order was stuck in Pending so I spent the last week trying to cancel. Phone-calls, emails, empty promises and many many 'apologies for the inconvenience'.

    Just received shipping notification.

No pre-ordered at all if I remember correctly

21 Mar Google Commerce Ltd charged your XXXXXXXXX £288.99. "GOOGLE *Google Play" will appear on your billing statement.

21 Mar Google Commerce Ltd shipped your order. Carrier: Other - Tracking No.: XXXXXXX

11 Mar You successfully updated your payment for this order to XXXXXXX.

11 Mar Google Commerce Ltd received your order.

3 Mar You placed an order with Google Commerce Ltd on 3 Mar. Google Wallet sent a copy of this receipt to graham@XXXXXXXX

During the entire time the pre-auth remained on my card for the full amount.

I'm in the same boat right now, Graham. Stuck on pending and the first step ("You placed an order...") since Mar 19. Mine too was never on pre-order. Your post has given me hope.

I ordered my Nexus 4 on feb 28th, only got the shipping confirmation today. It was my first attempt at buying, used my BOI visa debit with my billing address with PM postcode & PM shipping address.

I ordered one from Flubit too during the week thinking the one from Google would be cancelled so it now seems that 2 are on the way

Am I right in thinking that the €7 Parcel Motel credit will cover the delivery of both phones? From what I gather its €3.50 per stay with no extra charge with it being redirected down to ROI from NI.

The problem with Google is, and I can't believe I'm saying this as a lover of all things technological, is that they rely on computers for everything and that really takes away the personal touch of customer service. Their agents are powerless, from what I can gather. It's a disgrace, you can't treat customers like this. Even if you were in the UK, had a real UK address and credit/debit card, I bet it could still happen.

    Have you tried this?
    http://support.google.com/googleplay/bin/request.py?&contact_type=devices_shipping_status

Fill it out with your order number and you should be emailed back within minutes. Mine says it will ship by the 24th, whereas my initial order email receipt says the 22nd. I'm not holding my breath for either date, though, I'm just hoping for the best and expecting the worst.

I believe you'll be covered for both items for one night's stay with your free €7. Any longer and they'll likely charge you an additional €3.50 per package.

What is my best bet to get this.

I have a relation in England who can buy this for me and have it delivered to her house then ship it over here.

Is it possible for me to use my own Visa, and her address or is there a risk of the order getting cancelled the same way as using Parcel Motel?

    Thanks.

Your relative in England is certainly an advantage you should make use of. You can certainly use your own Wallet account but what you'll need to do to maximize your chances is the following:

    1. Add a shipping address to your relative (well, that's a given).
    2. Change your payment card's billing address to match the shipping address 100%.
    3. Use your online banking (if able) or call 24 hour telephone banking to have your bank/credit card account's address switched on your card to your relative's (or ask them to authorize it as a second billing address - your bank may or may not allow more than one authorized billing address - so you might have to change it outright).
    4. Order the phone and good luck!

Following those 4 steps to the letter will put you in a better position than many Boardies here and there's little chance of them rejecting your order (however, anything is possible). When your phone arrives, then change your bank/credit card account's address back to normal.

You get two nights (48hrs) for €3.50.

If you end up with two I'll gladly take one of your hands and cover all the expenses ;)

My Nexus 4 landed in Dublin this morning, now it's just got to do a round-trip to Belfast before I get it.

    +1

Google appear to be treating the whole fulfilment process like a computer program. This wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing if they'd put a few exceptions. They haven't.

Based on my experience of the last two weeks, I don't think Google are going to causing Amazon any sleepless nights. Perhaps Google should stick to moving bits & bytes.

Best of luck with cancelling the order, you'll need it. You're more likely to end up with two phones.

Did you use a second account for the second order, as the e-mail suggests?

You could take it as a positive sign that the first order has not been canceled and they just canceled the second one because they see it as taking advantage.

What does it say when you inquire about the first order in here?:

My receipt says the 22nd, also, and the form there tells me the 24th. We're likely in a similar boat. All we can do is hope and wait.

I don't know why they call it a promotion. I know they're not making money off the devices themselves but they need to open their eyes and treat customers a good deal better nonetheless.

None at all. Like everyone else, I'd just like to know if it's canceled or not. Give it to me straight! If it ships by the end of the week, I'll also be delighted, even though I had hoped for them to keep their promise of a 3-5 day delivery initially and was hoping to have it this weekend or by Monday morning at the latest. Ha, if only I'd come here first.
