It's next door. If I can still walk, I shall try to make it to cross street, there's a fine pizzeria next to Neachtains that serves by the slice at €3.50 a pop. Food of the gods. Unfortunately, only opens at 7 I think, by which time, I will be butchered.

Large pizza 2 chips 2 drinks in Papa Johns for 15 euro. Now there's a feed

2 slices of this = large pizza. €7. 2 drinks any shop €2. 2 chips at the chipper €5. Total €14. Cheaper, and a lot tastier.

I am drinking Franziskaner this evening. I had this really nice beer a couple of weeks back. Cannot remember the name, posted it here. Brewed since 1040.

My first trip to Germany happens June 2013. Cannot wait. Weissbier.com!!!

If I was you I would go to Munich.you could stay there,as a base.then there are lots of day trips you could do on the very efficient train service.a few places, only about an hour or an hour and a half away from the city of Munich....mittenwald,stunning little town up in the alps,tergensee-nice town on a lake,fuessen-the neuschwanstein castle.Oberammergau, where they hold the passion play, nice little village.if your not really into sight seeing, you could happily spend the 3 days in Munich, best beer bar none in the world.if you and your mates like ,ahem, entertainment of the adult variety, then hamburg is the place.Berlin is also a fantastic city, you would never be bored there. I would avoid Dusseldorf to be honest, bit boring, and Frankfurt is OK,but I would narrow it down to hamburg,Berlin, or Munich.Munich being my personal choice.

Couldn't get over the lack of a crowd in bookies today. Usually they would be jammers for Cheltenham. I was in Boyles, ladbrokes and PP in Kilkenny today and only a handful more in them than a normal run of the mill Tuesday.

Just heard McCririck was brought to hospital today.

He's not too bad but they're keeping him in overnight for observation. The Booby is blaming it on stress.

Hope he recovers to get back to the track in time for the first race tomorrow.

I like the guy and miss him from the TV screens.

I'm just after downing a 12 inch pizza. I cannot move. I reckon my arteries are seizing up as I type. I'll have to take two actimel drinks tomorrow to unclog the valves. Still, it was worth it.
