Great! Fcuking deserve it! Although how the Real Article and Eddie O'Grady got away with their blatant pulling job still escapes me!

Even during the biggest betting week of the year powers won't lay me a bet. 150 appears to be my max liability

Still at least you get the Racingpost spotlights

question...as you probably know i havnt got a betfair account and never laid a horse. if mtoy was say, 7/4 for the supreme, and i didnt fancy it to place. what price would i effectly get if i place laid it, if thats the right term?

He's 1.53 to lay so laying him you'd effectively be placing a bet at just under 2/1 that he won't place. e.g. You lay him to win €10 you're risking €5.30

You pay commission on your winnings though, starts at 5% and goes down the more you bet. So in the above example you'd "only" receive €9.50 into your account so you're risking €5.30 to win €9.50 (after commission) so laying at 1.53 is like backing at just under 1.8/1 that he won't place

No commision on Betfair tomorrow, as an apology for the site crashing the other day.

thank you. i actually fancy mtoy to not place, but that doesnt seem great value, i was guessing that i would get about 4/1 or so. oh well, think i,ll just stick with my jezki to win bet, thanks for the info.

I was just pointing out in case you didn't realise. Your explanation for the poster involved was correct to include commision as it is only a once off that they are comission free.

I shall be climbing onto the high stool at 12 noon. 2 Hells beers before the supreme. Into bookie next door for the placepot. Then 4 hours of un-adulterated national hunt racing. Fall off stool @ 6pm. Quizno sub. Home.

It's Wednesday when the larger wagers begin. Racing shall be watched at home, sober, with the belching cat.

It's next door. If I can still walk, I shall try to make it to cross street, there's a fine pizzeria next to Neachtains that serves by the slice at €3.50 a pop. Food of the gods. Unfortunately, only opens at 7 I think, by which time, I will be butchered.
