Nexus 4 ordering process

Has anyone called them?

The two numbers I see are: +353 (1) 436 1001 and 855-836-3987 and neither seem to work.

I have sent 2 or 3 emails since it was sent to the specialist. No response. Very frustrated and annoying process.

This is the number I used when I rang about getting mine replaced as the volume buttons didn't work. Easy to deal with I found.

I just called them there though and they basically couldn't help me at all. She said my payment is still pending, with no explanation why it was taking over a week. She told me to go into my card details and update them. Even though I told her they were already in there and correct she said to go in there and do it anyway because "sometimes it helps".

Maybe I will ring AIB and add the parcel motel address to my billing address in case that is the hold up. Still extremely annoying!

Edit: Just called the bank there and a lady from AIB said the payment was approved last night. Still no sign of a google update though. Hopefully that means the process will finally start moving along.

That is annoying alight. It's strange that some people get them much quicker than others. Mine was shipped very quickly. Even the replacement they sent was out in a few days.

Its ridiculous alright. What kind of order processing algorithm gives preference to people who have ordered after you, in all fairness.

I threw in a rant about this in the email I sent them and all they could say is that they couldn't comment on other peoples orders..

Well, I took the plunge yesterday evening and ordered the 16GB version.

After reviewing some other peoples experiences, I set up a new Gmail account with Tunnelbear, using a random UK mobile number and registered my own PTSB Visa credit card but but the Parcel Motel postcode in the last line of my address.

Hey presto! Order was received by Google more or less straight away and just got an email to say the phone has been shipped.

Just landed in Parcel Motel Belfast. Woop! Pretty quick and painless so far, I'm sure a google car will be waiting to swipe it out of my hands as soon as it arrives in Dublin.

I luckily enough picked one up on adverts, should be due in the morning, really can't wait to play with it!

I wasn't arsed messing with my gmail region as I have an important other account attached to my normal one I need for work....

Anyone get a decent cover for it yet? I picked up an ArmourDillo cover for it, looks sturdy enough tbh...

Picked mine u today.

Despite hearing about it a while ago, it was the first time I used Parcel Motel. Fantastic service, absolutely brilliant idea whoever came up with it.

If so, for anyone interested: Fresh UK Google account (verified with Irish mobile) with my real name etc. Google Wallet with MasterCard (tried previously with AIB Visa Debit and it got stuck on pre-order). Billing address country was UK except the whole address was my normal Irish one just with the PM UK postcode. Delivery address was PM. Billing and shipping phone numbers were Amazon UK Support Centre :pac: All done using TunnelBear in Incognito Mode.

Got my sister in the UK to order a Nexus 4 for me tonight and send it to the parcel motel address in Belfast. Had to laugh though when she forwarded the confirmation email and it said it was purchased from:

Google Commerce Ltd
Gordon House, Barrow Street
Dublin 4
Ireland

It's complete madness that we have to jump through all these hoops to buy a product that is being sold from Dublin. Globalisation gone mad!

Looking forward to getting my hands on it though.

Ok just ordered another 16gb nexus 4 but this time I used pm as billing and home address. They have put a hold on more of my money on my account but have feeling this order will be just as unfruitful as the last one

I think that's just their financial centre. The whole Irish tax rate is the reason they're here after all :P

Yay an update on my order!
After 3 calls and one email the status on my order made on the 21st Feb got updated yesterday (7th Mar) to status "Order Received" anyone know if this is a good sign? :P

New order has been received already. Finally a bit of movement! Pity it took me a week and a half to re-order. Would have had it ages ago.
