Nexus 4 ordering process

Tried setting up a new gmail account via TunnelBear there but couldn't seem to register my AIB credit card with it.

First two methods were usual gmail a/c (with previous non Irish purchases on it) with AIB CC and other gmail a/c with no previous purchases on it. Same AIB CC throughout. Billing address/delivery address changed to PM and with AIB.

Have emailed the docs through to get my original a/c unsuspended. Not sure what options I have after this. Only have the one card I can really use.

ordered saturday 23rd and it is still pending.
parcel motel, UK number (as i have uk ip phone)
have emailed them asking what is the hold up as it states still shipping in 2 days.

two emails saying, we have escalated your issue to our managers.
think im just going to cancel and get a nokia 820..

AIB credit card would not work for me - even if you change the billing address with AIB card services to a UK address.

Try an AIB visa debit card. AIB are exchanging Laser cards for Visa debit cards. If you have a Laser, phone AIB card services and say your Laser is damaged. They will replace with a Visa Debit.

Ordered aswell 21st, still "pre-ordered" called them today via skype and the support guy escalated it to a "specialist" to look into it.
Hopefully something will happen now.

Shipped! Woop!

Followed the very good guide that Danger put up, with a few modifications as I couldn't seem to use my own Gmail:

Tunnelbear - setup a new Gmail account with UK settings.

Added my AIB Mastercard to Wallet with Parcel Motel Belfast as Billing and Delivery address.

Ordered Saturday, been checking it constantly. Sunday it went to "order received by google commerce" and now today I got "order shipped" plus a tracking number.

EDIT: Also used online banking to change CC address to PM Belfast!

Finally I got an answer from google support:

"... I have looked over your account, and it looks like your order should have shipped by now. I am going to send your case to my specialist to make sure it gets sent out ASAP. I will be in touch soon with a new update."

It looks there is some progress...

I got this.. and got it again another 3 days later and was told i would be refunded shipping then two days after that my order was cancelled.

However i ordered from a brand new account in the exact same mannor on sunday and my phone shipped today!!

This is my second attempt. I used the same Bank Of Ireland Visa Debit Card, PM as billing and shipping address and also home address in google wallet account settings with UK mobile number.
I don't really believe that my order will go through... I think that's the card problem (maybe BOI is blocking transaction)
Third attempt I will create a new UK gmail account, try to use BOI Credit Card this time and also ring the bank to change address for PM.
I'm getting sick of it, but I won't give up

Using bio visa debit myself but with delivery address parcel motel and my own billing address but with parcel motel postcode and Irish mobile number. I noticed in play store the order date changed from when I made it last Friday to yesterday's date but no movement other than that yet

Finally Ii finished the whole story with ordering Nexus4! Uffffffffffffffffff

So all details about my ordering process
I used Bank Of Ireland Visa Debit Card, PM as billing and shipping address and also home address in google wallet account settings with UK mobile number.
Ordered 21st Feb, Order has beed shipped 5th March.

EDIT: Also got another email with apology and free shipping:D

Well I now have an Xperia Z after the Nexus 4 failures.
Interestingly after my various attempts to order the Nexus 4 the play store on all my devices is now the UK version.
Everything is priced in sterling and it's trying to sell my music and movies.
I've removed all traces of UK addresses from my google accounts but it's determined that I'm in the UK.

No I ended up using my BOI mastercard instead as I assumed I couldnt use the same card twice.

Ordered the 3rd Shipped the 4th and should be here in Dublin tonight or tomorrow.

I didnt change my billing address or anything just used the full PM address that I put in when i first made the account.

Can i ask that when you look at the tracking statement is 1a Mc Kinney road on the address. It just says my name parcel motel, newtonabbey.??

I haven't even got it installed on the xperia.
It's bizarre, unfortunately it won't let me buy anything with my Irish credit card.
At least I still have nexus 7 free credit for the apps.

Some updates

Send my ID docs in and my main a/c was unsuspended. Got an emali telling me to put through the order again,

Attempts 3-6 (with various combinations of billing address) - Payment declined
Called the bank and they had put a freeze on my a/c which they lifted. Explained the whole address thing to them too and they said it shouldn't be a problem.

Attempt 7

Old gmail a/c. AIB Mastercard (not in a position to use a debit card just at the moment), PM as billing address and delivery address and PM address changed with AIB.

Status = Pending with a delivery date of 9th March. Has been like that since yesterday.

It's progress of a sort I suppose.

Ordered mine 15 days ago now, had a look on google wallet this monrning and low and behold, "google commerce has received my order". Just to show how fcuked up my order is, the estimate for delivery is still the 28th of February.

I sent a fairly angry email on Monday night, alright, who knows, that might have done the trick...

If your status is RECEIVED already, it should be shipped today! It was the same story with me. I send them email after 2weeks aswell, They apologized and offered me free shipment!;)

Yeah, I should have asked for that really but I expected my order to be cancelled still. They've taken a hold of the funds in my account too and they've clearly used the exchange rate on the day of the order as opposed to today's rate which is annoying enough..

Anyways, glad to be finally be getting the phone , might order a bumper:)
