Forum needs a bit of a tidy up I think. All different conversations been carried out in threads nothing to do with them. Maybe lock every thread and just leave open the specific ones for each race, with warnings not to go off topic

Went in to Ladbrokes at lunchtime today, for the first time in about 6 months, to put on my first Cheltenham bet - Hublon Des Obeaux @ 33/1 for The RSA. While there, they announced a "Lock In" offer of Even Money (from 2/5) on Quevega to win the Mares Hurdle. Maximum bet was €25 and it was only valid for 10 minutes (it was about 1.15). Luckily, I managed to get to 3 offices in the next 10 minutes - it was the first time I broke into a sweat this year!!

The other thing I noticed was that they were offering Simonsig @ 4/7 for the Arkle but offered money back (as a free bet, mind you) if he was beaten i.e you could win but couldn't lose. I don't know what the bet limit was for this offer or what T&Cs applied but on the face of it this was a very attractive bet.

Am I missing out by never going in to Ladbrokes? Are these offers a regular occurrence or are they just trying to tempt in the punters before Cheltenham?

Tell him your more interested in stable staff. If he could tell you there whereabouts at a particular time and what their eating habits are you might be interested.

On another note, wouldn't it be very easy if there was a chat conference on boards. We could have a chat Conf on the festival

By a "large dump" I assume it was like giving birth to mike Tyson's arm? :)

Iron Mike's arm hit the water like an amateur diver would jumping bomb like from a 30 metre diving platform at Chelsea pools.

I shouted "sunami!" to the neighbours as I drove off down the road at high speed.
