He's already said it wasn't about Gazza.
But he did originally... that's sort of the point :) I'd imagine being corrected and mocked by hundreds of people made him realise he was wrong.

Somehow I doubt he cares that Celtic fans were 'mocking' him.

Who is he a journalist or something? I cant speak for others but i actually feel sorry for gazza he was a decent footballer who struggles with a horrible disease.. cant say i ever was a fan but i think very few would wish him dead

I agree, but that doesn't change the fact his original accusation was laughable and that some of the subsequent jokes that followed were humorous. Cheer up bud.

Most Celtic fans I've met don't mind him all that much. I know he did his flute scene and that but if you ask me it was just him winding us up rather than a genuinely malicious person a la Goram etc. Brilliant player too.

Quite hilarious that this Graham lad backtracked and changed his story "oh those evil Celtic fans were singing about Thatcher dying!". Newsflash bud, it's not a Celtic song, plenty other clubs across England sing it and the fact you even defend her shows just what an embarrassment to Scotland you are. With the amount of working class Scots in the Rangers support it is truly a case of letting your narrow minded politics cloud the bigger picture.

In football news, Rogic and Gershon aren't in the squad for Juve. Gershon is injured... what a surprise.

If Izzy is out, which knowing our luck he will be, we'll have to start Lustig - Wilson - Mulgrew - Matthews

He's not defending Thatcher, he just thinks that singing about having a party when someone dies is vole.

"86,877 people like this" (no doubt all tims )

He'll have to find something else to claim the moral high ground on (a hilarious act in itself from such a person).

Well in that case he's got a lot of people in Scotland particularly he may think are vile. I'd say about 99.9% of people here won't be sorry to see her go, I'm not sure some would celebrate but she's so hated I wouldn't be surprised if their out in the streets cheering:rolleyes:)!

I am no lover of Thatcher or the Tories in general. But anyone who goes out on to the streets to cheer really needs to get some help;)

You're the only one who thinks he's talking the moral high ground.

Oh sorry I must have lost you somewhere along the way again.

What was he criticising then, if not the morality of the song? The harmony? The iambic pentameter of the verse?

Personally even if Izzy was fit on current form I would start Matthews at left back against Juventus and Lustig at right back anyway. Matthews has shown he can easily play on the left to a very high level.

You can't say that thinking something is immoral and taking the moral highground are the same thing. Can you?

I can say that criticising the morality of a song implies that you yourself are better than that. Otherwise it's a fairly silly criticism.

... you do understand that that was a joke right... hence the rolled eyes? I'm not sure how much more obvious that could be.

To be fair many of your comments tend to be out there no I could never be sure you are joking ;)

If there is a way I can make the jokes more obvious than with smiley faces and clear context then let me know.

You see the problem is this I have actually heard tic fans talk like this and mean what they say. So if I got you wrong on an internet forum so be it no need to get upset it is just that the internet but hey I will keep an eye out for the smiley faces in future :(

LOL we are talking about Thatcher and it is the most I have posted in this thread in months you can't begin to equate this conversation with some of the crap posted on the Rangers thread

Sorry no matter where it shouldn't be sung about. I lived and tried to work in Scotland in the Thatcher years so certainly have no love for her. But I would not lower myself to singing about her dying

No thats not what I said but some of the posts on there are beyond the pale and some posters go on to that thread only when they want to have a dig but tell you what if you think that Rangers supporters come in here and talk about anything but football check again most bears posts are football related. I am happy to say that I very rarely post in here at all and will say the topic I am posting about on here now is nonsense for the simple reason when she goes other than in message boards nobody will be doing anything except getting on with their own life.
And just to make you happy I won't be commenting on Thatchers future demise in here anymore ;)

Aye some journo said it when the squad was announced. Maybe it's due to the home grown rule? I see Rogic scored!

This is going to sound like another dig but honestly the reason for that is there have been so many off-the-field reasons to mock and ridicule Rangers for over the past year or so. What do you want us to do, come in and discuss how great it is that your SPL squad thrashed Elgin and Alloa? Even poking fun at your slip ups seems a little cheap and easy in comparison to the plethora of other opportunities.

Like you said, this is one of the few non-football related discussion you've engaged in here. And it's about some working class Scots jokingly voicing their disdain for Thatcher in the same manner as thousands of other people all over the UK have. Sparked by Chris Graham's malicious lies. I think that says a lot about what the two clubs have got up to in recent months.

Really it says nothing about the clubs except one gut put something on twitter and then had to go back on it and go with thatcher a guy who has nothing to do with Rangers he is nothing but an ordinary fan with big ideas. In fact he got hounded from the Rangers forum I use because he didn't like being told he was wrong.

As for your bit at the beginning remember what goes round comes round ;)

I know it does. Like when we had to put up with years of gloating when you were cheating your way to titles. Now you've paid the price and it's our turn. Long may it remain!

Still to be proved in case you hadn't noticed. Wouldn't be to happy yet
