Laid up for the week - rather frustrating. Thank god leicester is on atr, the ould sand dune racing yesterday was boring. No bets till Saturday but at least I can watch jumps racing for the afternoon from the couch in between yelling for fresh tea from the kitchen.......

Did anyone see the first at Leicester? McCoy dumped onto the roof of the first fence, horse/jockey fine, then Liam treadwell takes wrong course 3 out when in the lead. Bizarre race.

Does anyone know why Brendan Powell got 28 days for taking the wrong course that day at Fakenham but Liam only gets 12 days?

Had a bit of spare time so rang My cable tv provider to see could I cut my bill or maybe they'd lob in a token extra for my 7 yr's loyal custom. Maybe even get rid of that silly €3.75 admin charge for not giving them my bank account details(cannot be much admin in me dialing in my payment each 2 months to a automated telephone service?).

They got one of their customer service agents to ring me back, to offer me nothing. They even told me I was on some select digital pack at a lower price and that I should be charged more. Hilarious clobber altogether. In effect, I should count myself fortunate.

By curious coincidence, another cable provider just called to my door. Enhanced pack, with recording box for €30 cheaper PA. Oh, and they threw in the rest of the premium channels free for the first 2 months. Just signed up and have given my one months notice to my former servants. The lord works in mysterious ways.......

Just back from the driving range.
Going golfing on Friday for the first time in 2 year's and it was not pretty up on the range.

On the plus side my handicap has increased by 2 shots due to my absence.

Anyone else play a bit?

I smashed the joint in the big toe on my right foot and could not play for two years and when I got back playing I couldn't play to 15 and it took 2 years to even get a shot back!!

I was a member of Westmanstown for 20 years and I got turned off golf due to the length of time I would be on the course.

I have played in three balls on Medal/ Captains/ Presidents days and been on the course 5 1/2 hours, it really didn't help me as I have a massive drive so I could be waiting for some auld lad to take his third before it was safe to tee off.

Half tempted to go for the Irish long drive competition one of these years, not getting any younger though.

I saw Urbans rap link in another thread and Xzibit was rapping and it reminded me of Tom Greens ambush on X on Tom Green show. I really like X and Tom, very funny guys and both well able to flow.
