Picked up MITB 2011, Punk Blu-Ray, Hart & Soul and Live in UK 2012 for around 35euros shipped. Happy out!

Did anyone here ever have trouble with delivery from Silvervision before?

I placed a large enough order abnout 3 weeks ago and got a call last week saying it was returned by the courier as they could not find the address despite me getting a package from the same courier a day later.

They were really good though and called to arrange it to be sent out again but I have to receive them.

No problems in the past in terms of service, no. A1 in fact.

I have hear rumours about the guy who works there, but I can't prove anything so won't say.

Just make sure you pay in sterling if ordering from Silvervision.

    The Euro conversion is wrong.

Looking to pick 3 from these blu rays, any opinions/recommendations?

    CM Punks one
Edge you think you know me
rock vs cena once in a lifetime
    rock epic journey
    brock lesnars one
    ECW Unleashed
Definitely CM Punk anyhow. The documentary is probably the best WWE have made. If it was me, I'd likely go for Rock Epic Journey and Lesnars one.

The ECW one is not supposed to be great, and the rock vs cena would more than likely be like Raw leading up to last years mania.

It's more like a 50 minute show looking at their feud. It's good, just a re edit of "once in a lifetime" minus the great music basically.

Can anyone recommend a Blu Ray or DVD?

    Stone Cold Blu Ray/DVD?

Yup, that one is brilliant. Except for the corny ending.

Just some country song playing over slow motion clips of Austin. Not very Stone Cold.

Should have ended with that Sacrifice video - now THAT was epic.

With my monitor & graphics card out of commission, I got Netflix on the PS3. My goodness, US Netflix is just awesome - Punk's docu is up on it! Same with the nWo DVD and a lot of 2012 DVD releases. Been milling the Prison Break out of it (although that's on both)
Watched the Punk documentary last week, pretty good but you feel it could have been much better if they were totally allowed to speak their mind and while they kind of brought down the 4th wall there was still the premise that it's real physical competition that they never really are able to admit. Nice insight into the character of the man and where he came from though.

    The nWo one any use?

nWo one isnt great nothing you didn't already know and most of the trlevant talking heads are from previous releases

Foley's new one has less duplicate material than I was expecting:

Yep. I reckon that Punk is the closest you'll get to shoot you'll get. It seems pretty obvious who they're talking about although it's never pointed out. The don't blame them ending with MITB as the few months were pretty bad, but I didn't like Punk kayfabing us on his contract circa MITB. Covering up the kayfabe story (handing HHH his signed contract on RAW) with a kayfabe lie (signing it right before MITB) wasn't nice to hear. Vince would never let Punk do that shoot interview June 30th if he wasn't already signed.

The nWo docu unfortunately is slap-dashed and poorly produced. It's such a huge step down from how excellent the Punk docu is. Just mindless talking heads, inaccurate assumptions (like nWo red/black, black/white was bad for business - they sold tons of merch and ratings were still excellent) and superficial reminiscing. Wouldn't bother tbh.

Hey guys, Golden dis s seem to have gotten in quite a few WWE DVDs for cheap.

They have lots of 3 disc sets for €6 & €7. PPVs are €6.

They had, best of raw 2009 and 2010 for €6 and €7, hulk anthology and reys life of a masked man for 7 each.

Summerslam 09 and 10 for 6, elimination chamber 2011 for 6 aswell. There are other sets for €12 too like the Rise and fall of WCW.

This was in the Cork MQ branch, might be a different selection elsewhere.

Wrestlemania 24 BluRay/DVD are back in stock on Silvervision. They were taken off of the site a while back because of something to do with Mayweathers entrance music.

I was surprised just how much I loved the Shawn v Bret DVD. When I heard of it first, I thought to myself has this not been done to death. But caught it on netflix and found it massively entertaining. Much like Punks docu it seems very un-WWE like if you know what I mean?

It was the best sit down interview Shawn ever had according to Bret.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,116 ✭✭✭starviewadams

Triple H never had a decent sit down interview according to Bret, and the ones he has had were very predictable.

Even his best are 4/10 at best.
In defence of Bret seeing HHH and Hbk straight shootin at the Rumble weekend sounds like it was cringeworthy stuff.
