Holt plus cash for Hooper, would you go for it? Depends on the cash of course, but I'd be assuming around £3-£4m.

It's a risk, but he's got a decent record in fairness. Would he fit in with our other options though?

No I'd pass on that. If it's true Norwich are offering Holt plus cash then that just means that Norwich are struggling to meet our valuation of him which is something I suspected all along - unless Holt was to be thrown in merely as a sweetener - Holt is 32.

Other clubs with more money will come in for Hooper, latest rumours are linking Spurs. I'd like to keep him 'til the summer and for the Juve tie, but if a club like Spurs offer decent money - ie: 10 million plus - then I suppose you'd take that given that he is entering the last 18 months of his contract. Newcastle would be looking for a striker as well having sold Ba to Chelsea.

yep its not really ideal is it? I reckon we should chase our other options at this stage, no point in him reluctantly signing and performing half heartedly. For his own sake i think he shouldnt go to norwich though.

Excellent all round performance. Once we got the first goal it was only ever going to be a question of how many we would get. Thought that Lassad and Samaras both were very good and 2 more goals for Hooper. The second a really class little finish. Wanyama totally bossed the midfield and nice to see Zaluska get the clean sheet.

Norwich got beaten at home by non-league Luton today, I think we can safely say that Gary Hooper will not be joining Norwich. Hopefully Hooper will stay 'til the summer at least, but if and when he goes to the EPL, it will be to a bigger club than Norwich I would say.
