We owe them one from a few years back when they won in a Group Stage match with a dodgy late pen in Turin.

Well Paddy Power has Celtic 3/1 to make it to the Quarter Finals, Juve 1/5.

Probably a fair and realistic price.

If you're a Celtic fan, today is the day of the Champions League draw to find out who we get in the last 16.
If you're a newco R*ngers fan, today is Thursday.
Really Bobby we are the obsessed ones yet on what should be a day for talking about yourselves and your opponents in the last 16 a great achievement by the way. People still have to mention us in the Celtic thread
    Closer to home methinks

Anyone looking to get to Turin? Seems easiest way is flights to Milan then take the train, its meant to be an hour and a half roughly. Flights to Milan are expensive though

FFS, can we drop this "obsessed" line every time someone makes a joke? It's getting ridiculous at this stage.

I think the fact that Stokes had to be reprimanded is a farce.

Yeah, like why would celtic be disappointed in their player attending a function full of terrorist scum, something they've been working hard to distance themselves from and weed out of their support.

He was a family friend who drank at his father's bar a lot. If you consider him to be scum then surely you consider Stokes to be scum too as he was in his company a lot.

Agreed, it's pathetic and chilidsh and at this stage. both of us take an interest in the other side, some on each side more than others but give the obsession jibes a rest please.

Bit of a scummy statement to be fair, a tad ott. Celtic have dealt with the issue and had a word with Anthony Stokes. He has accepted the club's view, and can concentrate on getting fit and resuming his Celtic career now. Hope to see him back soon playing football for Celtic and hopefully Ireland at some stage too.

But surely politics and sport should be separate? Why the exception from the media now? If Stokes attends a private function for a close family friend in Stokes' own time, it has shag all to do with Celtic as long as he's not in breach of contract.

Many organisations insert clauses in the contract of employees which allow for disciplinary action if the employee engages in activity in their own time which brings the organisation into disrepute.

Yup, and I agree he should be sanctioned if such a clause exists in his contract.

However, there's also a thin line here in that this was a private function, not a public one.

He wasn't messing about when he said 'this is only the beginning' was he? He's brought the team so far since, and all on a shoestring budget.
    Congrats Neil.

I have unreal amounts of man love for Neil Lennon.
