The team trained at the Estadio Nacional today. Hopefully it gives them some inspiration.

So euro football guaranteed for us past Xmas. Europa League at the least as we have cemented at least third spot based on the current score in Moscow. I think even third is some achievement with Celtic's resources, but to think we still have two games left is fantastic.

Hoping for a score draw tonight fingers crossed. Benfica will be gunning for it though so a draw will be a brilliant result.

Celtic starting XI to face Benfica: Forster; Lustig, Ambrose, Wilson, Matthews; Brown, Wanyama, Ledley, Mulgrew; Hooper, Samaras

Subs: Zaluska, Kayal, McCourt, Watt, Lassad, Commons, Miku

    'Mon the Hoops!

excellent stuff, hard to believe that about 2.5 years ago we were losing 4-0 to st. mirren under mowbray!

i didnt think anyone could turn it around so quickly with the resources available. massive kudos to eveyone at the club, in particular lennon. a couple of times, he could have walked away because of all the **** endured, close to being sacked last year and now look at us. a young team, alot on good long term contracts and happy to be here and the club on a sound financial footing long term

i doubt anyone will want to go in january now with european ball next year either. it would want to be a savage offer to tempt club and player!

I read with interest this morning the outcome of the so called 'Big tax case'. The result does not surprise me and fully vindicates the view I adopted on the issue. I was totally hounded on this VERY THREAD for my views and support for Sir David Murray. I was told " you just don't get it" and many other rather critical things in relation to my views that Rangers won their titles, where titles are won, on the park and that Craig Whyte was the 100% to blame for the Rangers crisis earlier this year. Guess what, I was right all along. The posters who adopted this hostile approach know who you are and I would like to think at this stage that you would be big enough to hold your hands up and admit you were wrong on the issue. People should not be hounded for their perfectly valid opinions, this case proves this more than other case will. Rangers only crime was to be operate a perfectly legal tax avoidance scheme, tax avoidance schemes that businesses all over the globe take advantage of. I made this point time and time again. When all the bitterness and proganda was left outside the courtroom, the judiciary could only make one decision and it was made yesterday. Many premier league clubs will have toasted the ruling today. HRMC have alot to answer for.

Hey The Brewster, any chance you could post that in the relevant thread? This one is about Celtic.

    Relevance to CFC?

You do realise the decision wasn't unanimous, don't you? Rangers might have won this Pyrrhic victory but the fact that the judges were split shows that the case wasn't as clear cut as either side believed it to be.

I have asked a question of your post in the Rangers admin thread

Did you remember to apologise to me before asking your question?! It was desperate what went on on this thread. This was the very thread I was ridiculed on, all over an elaborate propoganda campaign...

Apologise? You are definitely extracting the urine

Are you sure it was this thread? This is the thread for discussing everything Celtic related this season, there's probably a Rangers thread for similar. Perhaps you're confusing the two?

You were one of the very people who accused me of 'not getting it' and ridiculed my opinion. My opinion has been vindicated 100%. Why shouldn't you apologise? Take responsibility for your actions....

It was this thread. Of that there is zero doubt.

I have no idea of what page it is on, It may well be on last season's thread. I haven't posted much this season.

So it's not on this thread then?

I am referring to the Celtic thread, it is still the Celtic thread regardless of season in question...!

What relevance has your post to this Celtic thread? Your post is about you, other posters and a completely different football club.

The Celtic thread was the very thread where I was ridiculed by fans of Celtic football over my support for Rangers and Sir David Murray's regime. I am perfectly entitled to come back to the same place where I was ridiculed and ask for an apology. You were a poster on the thread around the time this took place so I assume you haven't forgotten. The talk of cheating, stripped titles, financial doping was absolutely appalling and this talk was coming from the very fans of the club you support. I stood against this nonsense and my stance has been vindicated by yesterday appeal decision. I hope Sir David takes some of these so called 'journalists' and 'bloggers' to the cleaners.

Accusing others of coming into this thread.

I'm sure you know exactly what I'm talking about ;)

For what it's worth, Brewster maybe could have posted that in the relevant thread (I'm sure those he means would have seen it there as well).

The speed at which the whole managerial change happened is a bit unsettling

everytime he comes out from under his rock to grandstand he posts in the celtic thread regardless of what hes talking about. easier to report the post, as i know he's being utterly lazy and shows no sign of learning from past mistakes, than go through the very same argument again with him about posting in relevant threads. no doubt he'll blame his phone again when he knows he's wrong. i post alot through my phone, i make the effort to post in the relevant thread.

    oh the irony indeed
