Celtic striker Tony Watt has signed a new contract to keep him at the club until 2016.

    Delighted

Video pertains to that mob, but the jokers in it are valuing Celtic at £34m. Not sure how they arrive at that, 3 or 4 of our players are probably worth that combined, then you have the rest of the squad, the brand and the projected income.

Charles Green thinks his Third Division club with a squad of nobodies is worth just £4m less :pac:

Great news. All done and dusted very quickly too. With Stokes basically missing the entire first half of the sesaon Watt's emergence has been very important already.Hopefully he can celebrate with a big performance Saturday against Aberdeen.

the failure of lassad and miku to settle has helped watt get lots of gametime. bangura is looking to comeback in january and stokes should be 100% at the other side of the christmas break means a real selection headache for lennon. i can see miku being squeezed out as the rest are registered to celtic.

We have no chance of signing Miku but I think we should make the most of it while we do have him. fter a sketchy start he's looking quite good, thought he did well against Barca in terms of movement and causing them a bit of hassle (wasn't it him that Song hacked down 3 times?). He's a million times the player Bangura is and will probably be more useful than Lassad unless the latter manages to sort his life out and be fit for two consecutive games.

"@JoeHart_01: “@murrayinahurry1: #AskJoeHart how gd do u think Fraser Foster couldbe?” Fraser is an absolute gem and a great keeper. I've got competition!"

forster should get a game tbh, not because hart had a bad game the other night but he needs some gametime if they are to have a solid no.2

It was just the shock when they announced we're going after Messi, right?

The official celtic one has but stv reporters are still relaying what is happening.

Alot of it is fairly standard stuff (Board want Lennon to stay on for long term, every player has their price but we arent looking to sell, desmond is a great influence etc, ) but the interesting information i read in the last hour is that contract talks with Hooper and Wanyama are still ongoing and Lawwell is hopeful of success with their deals

I'd prefer if we targeted younger platers tbh, we don't need to be chasing cover for Commons right now

Celtic side to face Aberdeen at 12pm: Forster; Lustig, Ambrose, Wilson, Matthews; Commons, Kayal, Wanyama, Mulgrew, Samaras, Watt

Subs: Zaluska, McCourt, McGeouch, Lassad, Atajic, Ibrahim, Chalmers

    EDIT

That Aberdeen frontline is very good so far

Lassad scores by following up Wanyama long range shot off the post, 1-0.

Lassad came on for Commons who went off with a hamstring injury. He's icing it on the sidelines so he'd doubtful for the Benfica match.

    Wanyama is a beast!

Mulgrew half volley's a blocked Samaras shot into the bottom corner, 2-0 & Game Over!

Wanyama is such a tank. Hayes tried to shove him over after he went past him and it did absolutely f*** all.

For a DMF/CB all his shots seem to be crackers. Sickening thing is he'll probably go for less than worse players like Mikel and Song.

Hibs losing 3-0 to Dundee. Celtic now a point ahead with a game in hand. Domestic crisis timmy.

Nobody suggested a domestic crisis and whats the timmy remark about suppose to mean? It really doesnt matter what our rivals are doing, it matters what we are doing and how we are doing it. We should be winning every match given the resources we have in the SPL compared to anybody else and poor performances after midweek matches shouldn't be acceptable given our squad quality & size.

Our senior squad size last week was around 13, 12 of whom played against Barca. A point you've already ignored.

We have players in the development squad who are capable of playing in the SPL. Herron was on the bench against Barca. Fraser played in the Europa League, Irvine & McGregor have played senior games and more than a match for what St. J had. Lennon started Miku, who was poor and Ledley who was knackered instead of Kayal and Watt. Those 2 changes alone would have made a huge difference.

Fielding U19s isn't the sign of a large squad though, is it?

Disappointed we didn't get to see young Atajic today though.

Those lads are too good for the u19's at this stage despite being still eligible for that level. They are all counted as 1st team or development squad players now. They are learning nothing at that level anymore and can be playing regular in the SPL and not look out of place. Certainly a better option than a knackered player. Lennon needs to get this part of management more right than wrong in future imo

    http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/entertainment/celebrity/rapper-snoop-dogg-has-sights-set-1443321

Revealed: Rapper Snoop Dogg aims to buy shares in Celtic.. and he wants pal Becks to wear the Hoops
“I got a lot of interest in soccer. It’s not a new thing for hip hop stars to invest in sports teams but it is a new thing for hip hop stars to invest in soccer teams.

“I didn’t catch the whole Barcelona game but I watched the highlights. I know Barcelona are
a big deal, and it shows Celtic are a big deal as well.

“I see how passionate Celtic fans are about their team and I could see myself making an investment if any of the board wanted to sell.

“I haven’t really thought how much. I don’t need to run a soccer club but enough of a percentage to get me on the board so I can be heard.

“I want to bring a bit of Snoop to things.

“I am passionate about my sport. The boxes at Celtic would never be the same once I have hosted a party there.”

“I asked my man David about Celtic and he was like, ‘Yeah, teams don’t come much bigger’.

“I would try and sign him up for a season but he is pretty happy over here. LA is home for him and his family now – but I would have to at least make that offer to my boy.

“We have lunch when we can, so next time, you know, I am going to speak to him about it. Never say never.”

“I love Scotland. I am so happy my UK ban is up. I love British Indian restaurants, man – but the best one I ever had was in Glasgow. The food blew me away, man.

“When I am away, I like to stay in hotels and have people look after me. But if I had investment in Celtic, that’s a different story. Maybe I would look for a crib over there.”

LOL, was he stoned giving that interview or did the Record make it up?

I didnt see one of the biggest games in recent memory, I didnt notice that they were celebrating their 125th anniversary, I had to ask David Beckham who they were, I dont really need to be involved in a football club but I want to be on the board so I can say my piece, I'm looking for an excuse to be in the UK now that my ban is up cause I'm sick of the wife and kids! LOL

I wouldnt let him into a corporate box without an £1m deposit for the night nevermind into a board meeting!

Benfica players are goading Celtic about the counter attacking system we use in Europe. Do they think we'll try to play an open attacking game when we dont need to? LOL

Probably still mad that they lost 2-0 at home to them playing the same style we did.
