Trying to find a pair of tickets (or a single at a push) myself, looking forward to finally get a chance to see Galway in a final. I thought I might get one down here in the south east but no luck. Anyone with one (or two, hopeful I know) send me a pm.

EVERYBODY ring the County Board. One of the people working there said they're expecting returns to Pearse Stadium.

Maybe we can share tickets with Mayo fans as ye normally leave at half time in the final. We could come in for the second half!!!

Rang them and was told that they aren't expecting any returns and even if they did they would be distributed through the clubs. Feck it anyways....

I know I bang on about this a lot, but to all those coming on here saying they're a "genuine fan of XYZ", I'll point ye to this for next season:
    GAA Season Ticket
Unfortunately, I've never had the privilege of Meath qualifying for a final during the season ticket scheme, but Galway and Kilkenny fans would have qualified for one having gone to just 7 league and championship games this season.

    What's your advice for this?
Do you ask around or use a sign?

Curious myself, wont qualify for final this year after Sunday's game, love to go to football final to see the Minor game though

Hey, I'm wondering when general sale tickets for the football final will be available? Even an educated guesstimate of the date?

    Thanks.

Final tickets don't go on general sale. Only distributed through the clubs.

The people saying you will get one no problem on the day are speaking for themselves and this doesn't always apply. I have tried this and failed - only on one occasion and my own county wasn't playing. I know people would want to give them to a team involved alright.

I imagine the people who get them on the day get them from people who they vaguely know if only that they played against them in a club game, or tend to meet them in the pub around match days. You would have to prove your credentials a bit to get one from a total stranger. People are very careful who they give tickets to because they are traceable. Are the people who get them all the time GAA players or club activists who would have loads of contacts?? Being female myself too I reckon that would be a disadvantage too.

Anyway best of luck - maybe with the recession you wont have as many neutrals looking for them and that might help. Maybe I am wrong about all this - I haven't been around Croker match day without a ticket for years.

I've been working on a Masters dissertation all summer and I've missed all the Championship games. Paper is due in on the 20th, so I'll be ticket hunting with all the other bandwagon jumpers for the final.

    Gwan Mayo!
