Past few days I've been playing the games on Paddypower, just the play money. Anyway I've been raking it in with the play chips. Just wondering if this is just because they are made to be easy to lure you into the real money games? The games were Blackjack and Slots mostly and a few others.

    Probably not.

When you're using "play money", it's like watching "who wants to be a millionaire" at home. There is Zero pressure. As soon as you start using your own money, you won't take as many risks that you have previously been rewarded for. You also don't have the safety net of being able to start again if you lose.

Its a nice theory but pressure has no effect on the payout percentage of the game . Gambling is maths nothing else matters . Slots have a payout percentage of around 90-96% , blackjack depending on how many packs of cards are used and also on what rules are used with perfect strategy you can get payout pecentage up to 98% . So long term you are always losing playing any casino or slot game without a bonus is pointless and even with a bonus nowadays ( because of such large wagering requirements) its still pointless.

In answer to your question "play games" are not required by law to represent the payout percentage of real money games so any casino would be silly not to take advantage of this hence why you will do better using play money .

Where did I say that pressure has an effect on payout? It has an effect on your staking.

You suggested "Pressure" was a variable as a reason he would be paid out more , Pressure is not a variable - also Staking size is not a variable it will not effect the payout percentage or house edge either.

???? I'm not sure what engaged this response ? I'm sorry i the response is boring but gambling is fundamentally about maths and its my job , I bet thousands everyday based on these fundamentals . This is what I really think .

I posted a reply to help the original poster . I am not going to engage in a slanging match with someone who cannot reply in a mature way.

Your response is of no help to anyone because it is not realistic. You're forgetting one MAJOR factor - discipline, or lack of it.

You're describing a scenario whereby the person who is betting is in full control of their bank, and their staking limits. In reality, people who bet on these games have little or no control over their banks/stakes. Thus, in a real play Vrs fun play scenario, pressure becomes a huge variable in relation to staking.

I feel my response was of great help because unlike you I was able to tell him that playing for fun - does not have to represent the payout percentage of "real play" therefore helping the original poster realise that these payouts he is recieving are unrealistic.

I think you are a little confused - there is no Discipline/Staking size that is going to beat a game with a payout percentage of less than 100% - these are FOBT (Fixed odds betting terminals) the odds are fixed in the houses favour you can't beat them , discipline - staking size- pressure are all irrelevant and not variables at all , you are going to lose anyway its just about how quick you lose your money .

Your theory that pressure etc is going to affect payout is fundamentally flawed .

I'm not in the least bit confused. I have never suggested that there is a Discipline/Staking size that will help someone beat a game. But it can contribute to them wiping out their entire bank.

Also, you have no evidence to suggest that a company's PLAY game is any different to their REAL MONEY game. All you can do is put forward a theory. Much like everything else you are saying, it has no bearing in the OP's world.

I respect that you probably have many theories about gambling, staking, strategies, bank management etc. And all these are useful to someone with discipline. However, I would guess that less than 10% of people that use this forum have discipline, or do the fundamental things like recording all of their bets.

You are still very confused , there bank will go anyway playing games with less than 100% payout .

Secondly - I have no evidence you are right but the "play money" games do not have to represent payout of "real money" games so any casino worth there salt would be mad not to take advantage of this .

Should i dumb down my responses because only 10% of people here have any discipline ? I'll post what I feel is the correct response and hopefully people can learn from it (if they wish so ) .

I don't have that many theories actually , I make money by backing outcomes that are more likely to happen than there odds suggest its a simple system and has worked for many years .

I used to encounter people like you on a daily basis, you come and go and just leave the resonance of your patronisation behind. Regardless of how often you try and tell me I'm confused, does not make it true. I'm simply looking at this from a different angle to you. One which I believe will have more resonance with the OP.

From working in this bookies for a number of years I know that in many cases, like something like Virtual Racing, the REAL PLAY runs off the same module as the FUN PLAY - The main reason being the house already has a massive advantage and doesn't need to do any additional cooking.

Also, I am well aware that by playing these games your bank will inevitably disappear very quickly, but that wasn't the question that was asked of the OP so I feel no need to say that.

My point is that in a real play situation your bank will diminish a lot quicker because your strategy will be altered, and pressure of real money losses will become a factor. You don't agree with this and think I'm confused. That's absolutely fine.

    That explains alot .

I'm sorry you find it patronising i was trying to educate you , you don't want to listen so ill leave it at that.

I didn't work in a bookies shop I might add. You don't have a clue about me so I would suggest you don't try and guess. Snobs, and people who think they are expert gamblers, like you, provide me with endless entertainment.

Educate me lol. You really haven't a clue kid.

I know enough from your replies so far to know you know very little about gambling and you don't want to learn either , keep trying though you might get lucky one day.

lol. I love the arrogance. Unfortunately, as I stated before, you don't know anything about me. You went off on your own little tangent on this thread, while I answered the OP's question. Generally, I find that people who talk about trying to "educate" people are simply overcome with their own self importance and really have very little that they can teach anybody.

You sir are an artist in the art of delusion. I wish you good luck with your future endeavours. I won't be conversing with you again because you don't seem like someone who acknowledges an opinion or thought process that differs from his own. I'm sure you'll learn some day.
