50p for a Cornetto. Even if you wanted to splash out you could still get change of a pound for a Magnum. Those were the days :)

How long ago would this have been OP?

I know yeah op! Was looking at that picture in the Nostalgia thread here; in the Retro forum thread here and even tonight it was posted by a mate on facebook.

Far better variety of ice-cream in those days too tbf!

Sorry, didn't realised it had been posted elsewhere before. Have rarely been in this forum so never noticed the nostalgia thread even though it's just above :o

No idea of the year to be honest.

Aw right. The fat frog was one of the best ice pops IMO.

I had a brunch for the first time in about 10 years this summer. Not only has the price gone up, but the quality and size has gone down like you wouldn't believe. Synthetic "bread crumbs", tiny (despite puffed up with air wrapping) and the ice cream no where near what it was. Goodbye childhood. :(

I've heard people complain that the Euro and the EU were the worst things to happen to Ireland and I thought they were raving lunatics........ until I seen this. Screw you Brussels, you can stick your Euro up yer arse, I want some 28p tangle twisters.

I can vividly remember getting 50p to get me and my younger brother a freaky foot each and I talked him into a sparkle so that I could get a brunch.

Fùckin' love Wibbly Wobbly Wonders. Those Chunky bars were delicious, too.

    It's definitely a 90's poster, probably 92 - 96?

Is it not older than that, say in the 80's. I remember Sparklers being 10p when I was very small which would have been the 80's!

To me it looks like late 80s early 90s no more than 1994. Best bet is 89-93

This poster is from 1994 fat frog 18p.

Facebook page has it down as 1991, they have posters from the 80's to 2001
