See before I would have thought 'who am I to question if Enternow has a console modded?'

But then I heard about the 50hz Megadrive and my world came tumbling down!

Nice one on the Wind waker Gamecube - was that from back in the days where multiple consoles were plenty?

Pretty sure I don't have any 100% boxed up unused consoles left anymore!

Ah the Megadrive has since been sorted with a trip to Radionics :D

Yeah I bought the Platinum one brand new & never used it. It's not sealed, but everything is bagged & in pristine condition. I got rid of all my duplicates some time ago but couldn't bring myself to sell that one, it's not worth much but I like owning it.

I also couldn't sell on the Md2 & Mcd 2 because, well, they're different models and are exempt from duplicate law

Super Mario Bros. gets downright evil come world 7. I cruised until then only to be destroyed in 7-1 and 7-2 which became my final resting place :(

Is that the original NES version you're talking about? Don't remember that game being overly difficult at any point. Old age and slowing reflexes has probably caught up with you. :(

That reminds me, I must download that demo ROM of Battle Kid 2 and see what it's like.

Yeah same as Steve's, it has the full disc size lid on it & is chipped for multi region goodness. Of course, I also have a Platinum limited edition Windwaker Cube all boxed never even used...but thats only for looking at :D The Modded one is the workhorse

I have a platnium version aswell, think mine was a metriod bundle, not too sure. Just after taking a look at those japanese GC boxes....

....damn you all. I just bought series 1 & 2 of Cereal Killers trading cards so my pocket cant take anymore for the week

They really are cool, way better than the PAL & US ones.

Yes it's the original and I'm actually finding I'm much better at games these days than I was when I was younger. It does get quite evil come World 7. Bullet bills and hammer bros everywhere so if you lose that fire flower you are boned.

Also I'm beating this without warps and there's no continues in the original so you have to collect every coin you come across to build up lives.

Might be a bit easier if you tried it at 50Hz ?

    It's actually PAL optimised.

What absolute ****. Altered Beast, Streets of Rage 3, Double Dragon, Battletoads, Mortal Kombat 2 and 3 are borderline awful or just plain awful. Where's Gunstar Heroes, Phantasy Star 4, Jungle Strike, Revenge of Shinobi, Shinobi 3, Shining Force 2, Rocket Knight Adventures, Contra, Thunderforce 4.

FFS, these are all mainstream games as well, I'm not even trying to be a videogame hipster!

Icarus, mos def! Crazy amount of content, great fun once your hand has transformed into a mandatory claw like appendage.

I get 3ds claw cramp from mario kart 7, so is it worse than that? That could be a breaker for me.

I think I'm going to get the xl.

Shinobi is only 11euro in HMV. It's by the door on the left on the way out. A few of them down the bottom of the rack.

Anyone get Spirit Camera for the 3DS yet? Just noticed it in HMV today. I think I'll pick it up.

I'd get it but I'd imagine I'd lose the little book about 5 seconds after opening the box.

I was thinking about Spirit Camera myself but the reviews have been firmly in 6/10 territory.
Now, I know some 6/10 games have turned out quite good.... but in this case I reckon let someone else invest and check out their opinion.
Must pick up Starfox 64 again, although I should probably invest a bit in the games I already have!

    LOVE THAT!

Wrong shop, but I do have (at least I hope I do) reservations made for both those games, plus some other 'stuff'. ;)

Whiskey aside ("Suntory Time"), most Japanese drinks do lean unfortunately towards the 'piss' end of the spectrum. Even the greatest mascot of them all - "Boss of them All since 1992" - couldn't get me to drink a can of rank cold coffee. At least the ads are good. The first ad is probably better than any recent Final Fantasy game. Apparently the drink itself is some weird herb **** though. Shame.
