That match was so dismal that I actually switched over to Impact for the first time in months and found it interesting by comparison. For me, that is REALLY saying something..

I don't think the media gave Croatia enough respect. Brady to be fair did make the point prior to the game that they were a quality side but many underestimated them.

I hope we don't get hysterical OTT reactions. We are punching above our weight and it showed, but it's still great for us to even be involved in this tournament considering the players we have.

On another note I forgot how great it is to watch tournament football without those vuvuzelas.

If you're a football fan at all you'll understand that Croatia were better technically overall. Game over qualification-wise before it even began.

Isn't always the best technical team that wins all the same. Think qualification was over and done with after the 1st game cause Italy and Spain looked a lot better than us or Croatia tbh.
Sunday game are showing Fermanagh vs Tyrone in hurling...What?

Cheers for the birthday wishes lads, just back from Port Laois, had a double header with a wedding as well! Smashed. A run of bad luck & some poor football from Ireland. Hopefully we can regroup for Thursday.

so depressed today after staying up until 7:30 am in a bar to watch the game...

no complaints though, we were just not good enough, and out of our depth in this group.

will be staying up for the france/england game tonight though, predicting a 2-0 win for france.

    Well done Teamshadowclan.
Hope the heavy rumoured Silva to PSG switch is BS or I may have to have a little cry in the corner.

The walk from the car to his office to get the result was nerve-wrecking. So glad I can just put it behind me now and get back to enjoying driving.

Delighted for Shevchenko tonite took them two goals great tonite. Sweden vs Ukraine was a much better game than I was expecting, France vs England was boring rubbish tbh

France and England was much better in the first half. I don't think either side looked comfortable in the heat and really gave themselves an excuse for not pushing harder.

Enjoyed Ukraine game alright and as you mention, particularly enjoyed Shevchenko getting the two goals, a nice reminder to some who may have forgotten how he good he was (Thanks to the Chelsea move). Always good to see the Hosts doing well.

I still expect England and France to comfortably qualify. Can't wait for tomorrow when it starts to get interesting, second round of group games.

See Craig Doyle giving Natasha Giggs a grilling on RTE haha. How fit is that Nicola McClean though.

Think I had to make 3 cups of tea to keep me awake for that England game, France are no great shakes genuinely no better than the likes of Russia never mind the Spain's or Germany's. Just text my brother that they should have the Craig Doyle show live in the joy as a way of punishing the inmates. Watching Louis Theroux in a brothel.

Erm no (although the sight of me and him awkwardly sideling around a brothel would make good tv). It was on a channel called Really. Sky have so many channels I am still finding them.

Thought it would be a good idea to watch some more Breaking Bad last night. I figured I'd watch two or three episodes (midway through season 4) before going to bed. I didnt go to bed until 4:30am having watched the rest of the season. Those last four or so episodes are fcuking awesome!

    Two questions tho:
    1. What happened with Mike? He seems to have been forgotten about. Is he still in Mexico?

    2. What happened to Jane's dad after he caused the planes to crash? He was mentioned once on the radio, but never again? That seems like a fairly big thing that should be getting news coverage.

Yeah, Mike was still in Mexico when all that happened. Don't know what'll happen with him next season

    2.
I think bar the radio/tv (think they said he tried to kill himself) he wasn't mentioned since. Could be dead, or have moved away or something. I think after losing his daughter, then causing the crash, he's just staying away from everything, so there's been no real need to mention him.
