I think Tokyo Jungle is getting a PAL PSN release. If so I'll defo be getting it!

I got an email saying my preorder for it is delayed until the 21st due to a supply issue :(

RE: Console vs. PC, I'm definitely a console guy. I just cannot play games with a keyboard and mouse. Much prefer to have a controller. I know there are controllers for PC but I still prefer to play a console. Plus there's also issue of games not running properly, drivers, having to upgrade parts and all that jazz. I agree though that there's a much wider range of games and some hidden gems especially indie games. I've nothing against PC gamers and wouldn't slag them off or anything, if they want to play a game on PC, more power to them, you go girl etc. But it's just nor for me :)

    ...sob story...

As some folk round here might say - that Snes doesn't look like it's aged well! Also looks like the blocky American Snes, o1s1n would hand that sh1t straight back. :pac:

That's it. Gaming is officially too mainstream.

I'm outta here to join the ranks of the "'Choose Your Own Adventure' books as the artistic medium of the future" brigade.

If you agree with this statement, roll an eight sided die, multiply the result by seven, divide by six and turn to page 75.
If you disagree, you have died. Please try again.

I used to know a guy who carried a multisided die with him to help him with lifes decisions.
He works in the civil service now, in case you were wondering why everything was taking so long.... probably won't accept new client files until he rolls a 13 or something....

Well, I'm in the Public Service, as a Clinical Nurse Manager (Grade 2).
My wages are paid by the tax paying workers of the state.
    I pay my taxes.
    I am therefore Self Employed!
    Hurrah!

Nah, that's my backup games room.

But on a serious note. I don't have a games room, it's a mancave with all sorts of non game nerd stuff that must coexist with my retro game stuff. I think lots of peeps here have a way better games rooms than me.

It's a bit depressing at the moment actually as I'm doing some renovations this weekend so all the consoles and games are put away so I've a bit of room to work. At least I have the candy downstairs to keep me amused (and a modified GameCube coming tomorrow) :)

I know it looks tacky as hell but I wish we had a game console that looks like this Media player. Perhaps something that came out of Japan in the mid 90's.

That's the sort of thing people in the early 90's thought the future was going to look like!

The soundtrack to Secret of Mana 3 is an auditory pleasure! Didn't think it could top it's predecessor but it blows it out of the water.

Has anyone seen the trailer for Disneys latest film, Wreck-it-Ralph?

    (It is retro\arcade game related)

Looks like great fun, and John C. Reilly is a great actor, looking forward to it.
I wonder though, if the greater gaming ignorant public will get the references?
    We shall see....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,695 ✭✭✭DinoRex

Looks like they've pulled of something similiar to Who Framed Roger Rabbit with the amount of different licensed characters they've managed to get involved.

    So,
Does this mean we might get a fight between Sega Tetris and Ninty Tetris! To the Death!
Maybe a washed up, has been Sonic sodden with cheap gin, looking up at a Jumbotron display of the new Mario game with hate in his one remaining eye..... just a thought....

They probably won't but that didn't stop the greater comic book ignorant public from enjoying the Avengers :)

Edit: Or the greater 'Alien' ignorant public, like me, from enjoying Prometheus.
I saw Prometheus last week having only seen Alien once about 12 years ago. Great film and it has me wanting to watch Alien again and then Aliens and Alien 3. From what I can gather it's best to call it a day after that.

Feck sake. Since when did Bjork vinyl become ludicrously expensive?

I'm after developing a tablet addiction!

Going to buy either an ASUS Transformer Prime, an iPad 3, or some some android device soon!

I may also just cheap out and buy a £99 All Winniner a10 powered tablet on amazon,
(which actually got a great average customer review, being following these a while now!)

Excuse me now, I'm off to get pissed.

I bought the iPad 3 on launch day and don't regret it at all. The step up from my iPad 1 was well worth the purchase justification.

Don't cheap out. Buy an iPad. :)

Actually Resurrection is worth a watch, to see how easy it is to crap all over previous installments in a series. Myself and my partner went to see the latest one and then bought the Aliens boxset after to watch. I put her off watching the fourth as long as possible but in the end we watched it.
It's a ridiculous film! Breathe identification! A man with excess Ely hairy hairs in a tank top! Luxurious dialogue! And the android doesn't lose it's head! Pointless film and the special edition lets you know what your in for from the get go. A slob spitting at the screen really sets the tone.

In other news, Arrested Developement is getting a new series or two to be released simultaneously on Netflix and also a movie. Let's hope they don't
    make a huge mistake.

Nexus tablet will be revealed in a few weeks. Apparently Google are aiming for a 7 inch quad core for about 200
