The host on ESPN soccer segment asked their soccer "expert" how Ronaldo and Messi will both fare at the euros this month...

What was the red mark for?

When I was reversing round a corner, a car started driving towards me and wanted to turn down the road; like an idiot, I just kept going with the move

I actually thought I was going to do worse than I ended up doing, and a lot of the marks I got were really stupid ones as well. Breaking a speed limit or stalling the car.

Reversing around a corner is the stupidest test subject. It's illegal to perform!!

They should test people on parallel parking.

Don't worry man. I just passed my test a few months ago at the third attempt and if I can pass it anyone can. A lot of it is to do with nerves, just keep practising and it will come to you :)

Done it in 2. Dundalk is (assuming thats where you're doing it) an unholy whore of a town to do a driving test in as the majority of it is either cramped start-stop roads or the bypass.
But it is a good place to be able to take each section bit by bit as there are only about 4 routes and two of them are pretty much the same only in reverse.

I did a practice test an hour before my real test (after having gotten lessons earlier that week). She said I would have failed if that was the real test. An hour later, I passed the full test and only got one green mark (forgot one of the hand signals).

I think doing bad in the mock test can actually help for the real one, because it makes you pay even more attention and get more focused. So don't stress it too much.

Did mine in Dundalk too, which I didn't find too bad. Getting a few lessons beforehand definitely helps though, as you get to know the routes better and have an idea of what way you'll be turning next

I like Dundalk. There's a lack of hill starts. :D

As a teacher myself, I know the benefits of a mock test and also the marker's attitude towards correcting them. I'm far more confident after failing yesterday than I was the day before.

I think the reason the majority of people fail is because of the pressure really. Ive seen lots of people who were good drivers while under the provisional license fail their full test once or twice.

Just found out this board existed.

Spent the last week watching old ECW ppvs. So much better than anything WWE has shoveled out in the last ten years bar Summer of Punk. Set my sights on picking up a replica of the classic ECW world title when I can get a buyer for my Undisputed.

Anyone else here collect replica belts?

That belt is bad ass. But i was always partial to the one wwe remade back a few years ago.

Hey Jaykhunter, cheers for the recommendation on Archer. Watched two episodes last night. I love that kind of humour and its very like bobs burgers.
Might be because the guy who does archer does bob in the exact same way. He seems like such a lazy voice artist but it works, so i dont care. :)

I have the ECW heavyweight belt alright, got it signed by Raven, Balls Mahoney and Sabu. Must try and get RVD and Rhino on it aswell at some point.

WWE just put out a new ECW dvd too called ECW Unreleased Vol. 1. Just watched the Mike Awesome/Tanaka match from it there, amazing stuff.

Loved him as Coach Mr.Guirk in Home Movies. Filling out my fantasy football team for the euros pretty hard to pick some tbh.

Damn, ever consider selling it? Raven's signature alone would make it a must have for me! I saw some of the Unreleased DVD, Tanaka and Awesome is an amazing match. Always liked Awesome, so bummed when he passed.

    I'm jealous!

I have a one night stand 2005 jersey signed by balls mahoney, sabu, raven, rvd, mick foley, jericho and someone else who slips my mind right now. I'd love to get Sandman or Paul E to sign it at some point.

Her and her sister are fierce annoying, but both would still get it.

Nah, I know if I ever sold it I'd instantly regret it. People are always commenting on it when they see it, it's a good way of unearthing people you never knew were wrestling fans :D

Ok, going to start one of these tonight. Which one though?

    Breaking Bad
    Game of Thrones
    Mad Men
    The Office US
    Dexter

Do you have to get up early in the morning? If so, I'd stay away from Breaking Bad and Dexter. Short seasons mean you'll think you can watch it all before going to bed. If not, coin toss

Personally I have to say seasons 2 and 4 of Dexter are probably my 2 favourite seasons of any TV show ever.. John Lithgow is absolutely incredible in season 4...

[disclaimer: I am an unapologetic dexter fanboy - have enjoyed every season and ever book so my judgement may be a little biased!]

Highly recommend anyone whose interested in irish sport to watch all 4 parts before the euros start in the morning.
