Fair enough I shouldn't have called you an asshole and I'm sorry, I'm just a bit moody!
It's just not fair to say that. Obviously since you're doing 5 poets, in an ideal world you deserve to do a lot better than me and a good percentage of the country who are only doing 2/3, but it's still unfair to say you're praying that what we've done doesn't come up. I'm sure there are areas of some course that you're unprepared for and are relying to some extent on predictions.0 -

Ok yeah I suppose exam pressure is getting to me a bit too :S Yeah it'll be interesting to see how my short story pans out tomorrow, not prepared well for that at all!

Just wondering what sort of essays people are preparing for hl English paper 1. I have one prepared on the Olympics and one about Ireland's resilience. Our teacher is an examiner and she predicted these two titles
The absolute irony in that!!! :eek: I've written only two stories in the last week and they have titles identical to those! And my one on the Olympics is really good

To answer your question, most people I know have an essay written up on a tragic event, war or a love story. They're pretty adaptable too!0 -

I'd say you'd be safe for Hamlet if you were to know stuff on deception, the role of women, the use of soliloquies, and character of polonius. That's what I'm doing anyway!! Anyone else have any inputs?0 -
