I'm doing French, German, Spanish, English, History and OL Irish, so here goes with my predictions.. (Can't really say anything for OL Maths)

French: Olympics, maybe linked with drugs? Elections
German: Olympics, Environment (they love Umwelt), technology, maybe Jugendprobleme
No idea for spanish, anyone have anything? I don't do it in school, I'm fluent.
OL Irish: Apparently Tir na nOg is REALLY likely, Geibheann, Colscaradh
History: Case studies; GAA, Eucharistic Congress, Show Trials.
Also Land reforms/agitation and CnG vs FF.
India more likely for the case study, or France. Doubt it'd be Katanga.
English: Hamlet; Appearance vs reality, role of women, 2 Hamlets (inner conflict, change throughout play)
Poetry: Heaney, Plath, Larkin, Frost or Kinsilla
    Comparative: GV+V and Lit Genre

Higher irish (I don't do this but I know people who do): Apparently the elections are really likely for you too?

Lads I really dunno why ye think the strike and lockout is tipped. Sure it basically came up last year, just worded differently. I know it could come up two years in a row, but really is it that likely? I really do think the GAA and the Land Issue have to come up.

They might just do a constructive unionism/ killing home rule with kindness essay Q too.

Re: HL irish, I wouldn't think elections would be likely, they asked public leaders and your choice for the Irish President last year

For history I'm thinking propaganda might be likely now so fingers crossed. Technology of warfare was tipped for last year and it didn't come up...it would hardly come up as its own question I think, it's a bit short. Any ideas on what it could be linked with? Is the war itself the only real option?
And also, anyone think church state relations is likely? Not sure whether to learn it or not.

What ownership structures should I know for Business those anybody know??

The question is usually based on a sole trader switching to another type of organisation! Could come up in the ABQ this year I think!

Its come up on its own before so I dont see why not. Its really handy in fairness. It could come up in a roundabout way like what factors affected the outcome of WW2

Question for History heads, been studying a lot of Redmond including comparison with Parnell and Carson. I think it's likely enough to come up, but of course I cant be sure, opinions ?

It would be a nice enough question I think? Do you mind me asking what else your focusing on for that section? It's the one I'm most worried about! :)

Usually character, but it depends on how they phrase it.

For deception/betrayal/loyalty, just study deception. You can twist that around to get betrayal and to get in some points for loyalty, just look at horatio and gertrude (how she betrayed king hamlet but was loyal to claudius even after hamlet told her that claudius is an "unscrupulous killer").

I've learned off an entire French essay about the Olympics. Bad idea? 'Cause people seem to be pretty comfortable that it'll come up...

thats way too much, half a page is all u need!

For Hamlet, I usually learn a load of quotes that cover pretty much the whole play.

Then for whatever comes up, I just manipulate the quotes and voila, bob's your tea-pot.

I don't think I could bring myself to going through the whole goddamn tragedy again studying themes etc.

Look at the most recent history thread, I've my predictions there

In the languages, for exemple Irish and French, does anyone think that sport is too obvious to come up or is it too much of a factor that they cannot leave it out. Just taking Irish, if you look at the past essay questions the "obvious" sports question has tended to appear the year after the sporting event took place. Maybe I'm over thinking it and we'll we get a lovely sports queation in both Irish and French! Anyone else a have similar theory?

For the scéal, you should learn something off and then manipulate it so it will fit the opening sentence. In a sample paper, we somehow managed to twist 'I stood in front of the other students in the school hall, the atmosphere was electric' into a road accident.

At least, that's what our teacher suggested.
