    Oh God... just tuned in and it's more hospital stories - everyone going into minute detail about their experiences - how long will this last? How often can they run these things? What does it achieve, apart from the callers getting something off their chest live on radio with Joe sighing along for dramatic effect. And they all seem to be saying the same thing :mad:

    I'm thinking of going cold turkey and bailing on Lahv Lahn completely. It's just not the same anymore without the loons and the arguments. Joe's becoming more and more self-indulgent and self-congratulatory, the topics are increasingly banal and largely irrelevant, and his inherent bias is becoming more obvious by the day.

    I think I need to write an Elton John "goodbye to cocaine" type letter to Joe, explaining why I'm leaving, outlining the reasons I've quoted above in much more detail, whilst also calling him out on his salary and agenda, amongst other things.

    A former colleague used to often state that "if you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem", and we boardsies need to face up to the fact that we are part of the problem by listening to his show and keeping the listenership figures up. I can't do this moaning coffin-dodger radio anymore.

    That said, I will check the thread next Tuesday to see I've missed Lahv Lahn Gold....

    The listenership figures are done by a survey. Guys go out and select a a percentage of each age group, sex, location etc around the country and basically ask what they listen to and how often. So unless you're asked, and and answer "liveline", you're not part of the listenership figures.
    If I'm asked I'll say Moncrieff.
    Guilt free joe!
