Do you mean for the opinion piece? As far as I can figure out they're basically impossible to predict. But one is usually a very general topic so you should be all right as long as you know the basic phrases (estoy de acuerdo, en mi opinión, para concluir, las estadísticas muestran que... etc etc) :)

Just wondering why nobody has mentioned Art History predictions at all?

I only have one prediction for that myself, Newgrange. Everyone was betting on it last year and it didnt come up.

My Geography thinks a question on earthquakes/plate tectonics is almost a guarantee this year due to all the earthquakes around the world recently.

For Regional Geography, culture in a region came up in 2006,2007,2008 and 2010 so I'd say there is a good chance of it coming up this year.

No way it's still a sore spot atm

Newgrange did actually come up last year
"2. The construction techniques used in pre-Christian burial sites show some similarities
with those of early Christian architecture. Discuss this statement with detailed reference
to similarities in materials and techniques between one named pre-Christian example
and one named early Christian example.
    and
Discuss briefly the different functions of the examples you have chosen.
    Illustrate your answer."

    It's just disguised well!

Im repeating this year, and i am pretty crap at Chemistry. I got a c3 in the LC last year which was surprising, probably only because the few things i actually knew came up!
Just wondering what people would recommend if your just looking for a high D or low C.. Cant afford to spend too much time on it at this stage as all my other subjects are higher level too!
Any help would be sweet! :)

Has anyone any ideas about HL German? I think (and hope) that something will come up in health/fitness etc but I'm worried about topics like the Olympics and recession. :(

My teacher reckons something on Facebook/social networking could show its face, she was expecting it last year and it wasn't on. She also thinks the Olympics are a good bet, though.

Wouldn't mind writing about social networks, got a few sheets in that the other day and having already done an Internet topic it wasn't so bad. The Olympics however is a whole different story. :/ Thanks though.

My Physics teacher thinks that we may get nuclear reactors as the STS question (Q11) with something about Japan. :)

That'd be great! Fission reactors FTW :p I actually really enjoy the modern physics part of the course.. Hoping for a nice bit on the electron, radioactivity, nuclear and particle physics!

Just wondering what are the chances of Propaganda in Nazi Germany coming up? I know it came up for the Mocks as well though. It's just that if it does show up in June, I will cry of joy.

I'm the exact same! It came up on both Mock Papers so hopefully that's a good omen? I'm hoping either that or Nazi Foreign Policy..

I find it quite shocking that an A standard HL candidate would not know what the word misogyny means.
What are the English teachers doing? Just covering old exam papers?

Predictions regarding the exam are pointless as usual.
Any of the people who actually know or have an idea of what is on any paper will not be posting on boards. They have all signed legally binding agreements and would be in a lot of trouble if they were telling anyone about the content of the paper(s).

That said, the Chief Examiners' reports are where the setters take their direction from, so if the Reports have been saying papers are too predictable, efforts will be made to make them less so.
I also got an A2 in my mocks and when i seen this word didnt have a clue what it meant! i get what yee mean about the quote being with it though. also my teacher is ecxellent we dont even have exam papers so yous cant really presume the teachers are bad! :D
