    Id do Valencia - Yaya

He has all the other 3 midfielders you have, and you have Rooney as striker coverage.

Otherwise i agree with mass and do Rooney - Aguero

Cheers guys, hadn't actually thought about moving on Rooney as he had been my main differential for the last few weeks and had fancied him to score against Sunderland. But now that you say it it makes sense, there is no chance he will bring in Rooney, why would he when I have him, only thing I can see him doing is trying to get enough money to bring in Aguero and make him captain. If I do this as well then it takes the advantage away from him.

exactly. nice position to be in though mate!

Cheers, its been a long slog, guy I'm up against has won this league last three years running, he's notorious for making "inspired" captain choices on the last weekend, hoping 26 points is enough to guard against that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 487 ✭✭Juxtapose

Ah im in a similar position myself. Guy wins the league every year, this time ive put alot more time into decisions based on FPL form rather than what i see on tv! (also helps im a west ham fan and they arent in the prem!).

3 points off him, took a 4 point hit, so really hoping he doesnt go for Aguero and he rakes in the points!

I took an 8 point hit.

I'm 44 points behind and 30 ahead of my nearest opposition so I brought Bos, Aguero and Silva in.

That's just madness. So you're now 52 points behind. Sorry buddy, but your captain could score a hat trick and his could get one point and you're still going to struggle to make that up.

8 point hits are madness though. Chelsea let in 4 the other night, Aguero misses more than he scores and Silva has been out of form.

just out of interest as im not in the boards how far down the table would i be with 2002 points ?

Folks Opinions welcomed looking to close a 50 point Gap this week I know the chances are virtually nil but I live in hope I am ahead in all my money leagues and I have a deal with this mate whoever finishes ahead for every point you pay a €1 and the bragging rights are the most important:

    My team for this week:

    Vorm
    Enrique, Kelly, Verm
    Yaya, Moses, Bale, Pienaar, VDV
    Aguero, RVP
    Bench: Mignolet, Cisse, Evans, Simpson

    His team:

    Krul, Vorm
Shawcross, Kelly, Bardsley, Evans, G Cahill
    McClean, Pienaar, Valencia, Bale, Dempsey
    Cisse, Jelavic, RVP

I notice he has done his transfer for the week because of his money in the bank so I am presuming he done Cisse-> Aguero. Who to Captain and is worth a 4 point hit to ship RVP to Torres and make him Capt. Opinions welcome

    Right lads.

After 2 great weeks, I made huge ground in my main private league and am now in a position where it's possible to catch 3rd spot for final podium prize. I'm 16 points behind.

    Here is my rival's team

    Friedel
    Huth - Terry - Vermaelen
    Valencia - Pienaar - Bale - Dempsey
    Cisse - Jelavic - Rooney
Subs: Vorm - Turner - Taylor - Surman

    And mine

    Cech
    Hibbert - Kompany - Vermaelen
Pienaar - Van der Vaart - Dempsey - Valencia
Van Persie - Jelavic - Cisse
Subs: Kenny - Ben Arfa - Evans - Simpson

My original plan was to get Terry back (for Vermaelen). But having a City attacker could make the differential.I've only 1 FT and 1.6 in the bank. He made 0 transfers up to now and can only make 1 FT. What do you think ?

Being 50 behind, you really need to bring in someone he doesn't have and make them captain. Not sure on Torres as you can't be sure he will def start, maybe look at rooney, United could put in a big show this weekend. If you were to look back at midfield, maybe replace either of VDV or Bale(not much point having both) with a Chelsea or Arsenal midfield, Arsenal midfield is probably easier to predict but Chelsea do have the easier fixture. 50 point turn around would be something special so best of luck.

Oh f*** I transferred out RVP instead of Rooney for Aguero - total accident! Hope that doen't come back to bite me - am only 13 ahead in my money league!

Dempsey is out of Fulham's game.

Luiz and Cahill are out as well for Chelsea.

Brillant i don't have Dempsey, glad hes injured. Hopefully a few more players i dont have fail to make an apperance :D

Got Clichy in so far this week, not sure should I take a 4 point hit to get in Aguero for Rooney or Yaya for Valencia aswell. Will Mancini allow Yaya to push forward for the whole game or can QPR miraculously hold out for a draw/win hopefully?

Nice one, I sold Dempsey earlier in the week! :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 378 ✭✭John83

Dempsey's injury leaves me with two injured subs and Evans as a doubt. Taiwo to come in for Evans isn't that comforting.

Should I bother with a 4 point hit to cover myself and just take the risk of a zero pointer from someone?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,844 ✭✭✭carlcon

Oh FFS, the last month has been completely effed up by injuries. Points hits will be the death of me. Wanted to drop Young this week, but I guess I'll be keeping him now.

    Dempsey-> Yaya Toure so

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,600 ✭✭✭roryc

I'm not too bothered about Dempsey, just means I'm playing Siggy AND Ben Arfa now. Don't see the point in taking a point hit to get rid of him...

I've a 2 point lead over 2nd place in the Buskers League, looks like it's down to captain choice and differentials.

    We both have:

    Bogdan
    Vermaelen
    Bale
    Valencia
    Siggy
    RVP

Assuming he plays all 6 and RVP as captain, then its:

Terry (Blackburn H) vs Walker (Fulham H)
Clichy (QPR H) vs Hibbert (Newcastle H)
Ben Arfa (Everton A) vs Petrov (Stoke A)
Tevez (QPR H) vs Rooney (Sunderland A)
Cisse (Everton A) vs Jelavic (Newcastle H)

He still has a FT so could bring in someone for Dempsey, but I think it'll be close either way. Might go nuts and captain Tevez...

Took the plunge & sold Cisse for Aguero (capt).Dempsey's injury forced my hand so sold him for Yaya.Keeping a front 3 of Aguero,Rooney & Jelavic.

Barring a miracle.I wont win the league I really want to but need to consolidate first place in another.Hopefully results go my way this weekend (A 5-5 draw in the City game might be pushing it) and I finish the season on a high with a decent score.

Well it was either make the changes or just let the opposition win. Our team were similar enough so it was impossible for me to make up the difference in one weekend.

Unfortunately I expect City to win the league in style. The Chelsea team that played earlier on in the week was almost a totally different team.

Yaya or Silva? I can decide. I know Silva has been off form lately but he always looks sharp & like he's going to score.

Mata start is slim considering the C.L.F coming up,have Dempsey to swap and 11.1 in bank,Ya-ya,Silva or Ramires,decisions...

Who do you think will start for Chelsea this week Torres or Drogba? 21 behind in my league and looking at taking a 4 pt hit jelavic for torres/drogba. Think Chelsea will destroy blackburn and given that drog didn't play against liverpool and won't have a game until the final next week will di matteo play his strongest team?

Think he will start Torres and bring on Drogba later in the match.

    Bit of a quandry here.

Have only 2 fit defenders. Want to transfer Rooney to Aguero. Don't want to take a points hit. Would you risk going with only 10 players? I'm 4 points in front at the top of my league.
