Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Some Irish connections there:

    No. 22: Officers of the 69th Infantry New York, at Fort Corcoran, Virginia, with Col. Michael Corcoran.

    Michael Corcoran was from Sligo and at the start of the Civil War was awaiting court martial for refusing to parade the 69th in front of the Prince of Wales in protest at Britains actions during the famine.

    Also No. 28: ...stone wall at the foot of Marye's Heights...

    This is the position that The Irish Brigade, led by Thomas Francis Meagher, assaulted and was decimated in the process.
