Been there tried that and http://z8.invisionfree.com/EveryFord_Ireland and the 1600E club. I did find a new one in an auction up north. He wouldn't let me 'Buy it Now' the broad went belly up at the end of the auction, so I never did get a bid in it went for in excess of 500 sterling. Looks like I'll have to weld a few plates in the for the bonnet release and spot weld the braces in. I shall keep looking in the mean time. cheers

If the outer skin is sound (and it sounds like it may be) then you are half way there. The braces are often not attached , I think they were bonded in originally.

A visit to "Cortina Day" in June may turn up gold, get there early (like the day before!)

£90 BIN! (might be fibre glass though...)

The last one is from "the-ford-cortina.com" from buysellcortina who I know and is sound. I'd PM him on BSC , I know he hates ebay and would love to sell off there!

I've come to the conclusion that my bonnet is in better condition than either of those two/three. Looks like I'm going to have get, and refurbish my bonnet. I just need to motivate myself. Many thanks.

Sad day in my house: decision has been made to permanently 'retire' my 968. I've been made an offer for it, by a breaker's in the UK, so unless it's bought here, it's off to UK to be plundered at end of the month.

Which is an outright travesty for a fsh Porsche. But there you go: we are where we are, as they say.

So, even if you don't want a 'project' 968 to give some tlc to, there's a lot of stuff you could shoe-horn into your 944........or 924, if you're really dedicated !

    Someone, rescue this car !

Is this still for sale or is it gone to the uk?

Not really a classic yet, but i thought i'd throw it up here anyway.

    1996 Mercedes E200.
    Manual gearbox
    Good condition.
    No tax or test.
    Located in Cork City.
    €500

It's not a bad car but i've absolutely no need for it.

2 CV, Had an E220 recently, with 250k miles 1 months NCT left. put it in D.D. at E975. Sold 2 hours later foe E950. So perhaps spend E3 on Done Deal and see what happens. It would not appear to be overpriced at that. Good Luck.

I had it up on donedeal, but took it down. Kinda got sick of this african fella ringing me every day making an appointment to have a a look at it and then not show up. I told him where to go, obviously :-)

Hi all a modern classic here:

    donedeal ad:
    http://cars.donedeal.ie/for-sale/cars/3113814

I bought the car with every intention of keeping it as a weekend/summer car but our circumstances have changed since and might need the money used to purchase the car and run it for other more important things.

Will do a cash deal on the car as it stands or will eventually put it through test and maybe tax it.
