Thanks for the kind words, guys. She will be accompanying me on sunday night to captains. WM time has become a bit of a tradition for us so this year is a bit of an added bonus. :)

Lads i have something serious to say (no, seriously :P) and would like to say it here.

Over the last few months i've been going through a lot and have had to face a lot of things i never thought or wanted to.
Basically last September my girlfriend was brought into hospital with a few problems, pains in her back, loss of apetite, stuff like that. After a few weeks and after a biopsy was conducted she was diagnosed with lymphoma, a cancer of the lymph glands.
My head was a mess and everything was a little bit crazy around us. I had a lot of well wishers and help from friends and family but whoever i met out and about would always, with the best intentions at heart, ask for an update which i would be very happily be asked but yet be torn apart having to give.

Why am I posting this? Well basically to say a thank you to the guys on this forum and the rest of boards who unknowingly gave me my respite from all the issues of the last few months. It might have been just a bit of banter about wrestling and all that goes with it to you guys, but for me it was a welcome escape and one that i'm very grateful of having. I was going to post about what was going on when it all came to a head but after i deactivated my facebook and pulled back on using twitter, i didnt want to be scared of coming onto boards and be greeted with the same questions as the ones I was nervous about answering on there.

    But, some good news;
Last thursday after 6 months of intensive chemotherapy my girlfriend finished her treatment. :)
She had a PET scan done at the beginning of the treatment and another one performed then 2 months in. That PET scan had come back 100% clear, which going from what they found in the initial one to that is a massive result and one which we didnt know the full extent of until last thursday. Which was excellent news.

I'm so happy that its over and that the treatment has worked that i'm literally telling everyone. It makes a welcome change from the convos ive had with some over the last 6 months!
So in a nutshell and i know it sounds really strange but thanks again for doing something you had no idea you guys were doing which ment so much. :)

That's excellent news CM! Delighted to hear things are getting better for her!
It's amazing how a message board can keep you goin through things and just being somewhere that you can escape to, it's brilliant!
    Delighted again man :)

Taped before Raw. Only 3 matches on it cause they'll add a load of stuff from Axxess onto the show

Milan have at least taken the tie to the 2nd leg vs Barca. Wish we had taken the chances that fell our way early on but at the same time were lucky to not give away a penalty or two, i'd much rather a 0-0 than 2-2. Its the only tie left that justifies watching the 2nd leg, the other 3 are dead in the water imo.

I really don't get this. The Real Madrid match was over from the minute the draw was made, same with the Bayer one, to a slightly lesser extent. But I don't see why the Chelsea game is all wrapped up, papers have been printing that Chelsea are basically in the Semi's already. A 1-0 lead is abosoloutly nothing, away goal dosn't matter either as Benfica have to score so that will cancel the away goal (Assuming they do) But Benfica dominated Chelsea and with a bit more luck could have beat them, yeah Chelsea soaked it up and got the goal, but not a hope they will get away with that in the 2nd leg. To be honest I fancy Benfica to get through. Think it will be an interesting one anyway.

Aston Villa have just announced that club captain and Celtic Legend Stliian Petrov has been diagnosed with acute Leukemia. Sad story, hopefully he can get through this.

Sad to hear that I was shocked when I flicked on SSN earlier after picking up Power Slam. With this, Abidal, Cassano & Muamba football is having a lot of serious illnesses lately.

One of the few likable Celtic players during his time there. Hope he recovers.

I'd say its more players are getting checked out more often. I'd imagine 20, even 10 years ago, that players only got checked when they were injured. Nowadays players are getting checked more and more regularly and in much more detail too.
