It really does, I'm going to have to watch all the episodes with a pen and paper and make a list of all the games that look good!

    Yeah, that's always a possibility ;)

The first time I went over there years ago was on a business trip with a few old guys from senior management. Dirty dirty feckers they were.
I like they ladies very much, very much indeed. But I do require them to be over 12 years old, unlike those guys. So much right about Japan, but also so much wrong, very wrong.

You know, in another dimension Amiga computers are the arty hipster crowds favorite and Apple have languished in obscurity since the early 90s.

And I'd like to live there, please!

What a load of hipster crap. It's a mid spec pc in a fancy case thats overpriced.

This, is a Commodore Amiga, & one that could be bought in multiples with the cost of the above

Ouch, the pain of buying stuff from the US :(

My 3D printer should be arriving in the next month or so(long lead time on these things). I've been putting off working out the import duty on this as I knew it was going to be a painfull pill to swallow.
I just did it there, about 340 euro give or take a bit

I assume I'll need to have the cash on hand for this or do they take credit cards when the call to your door? I cant remember.

I wonder does it depend on the courier? I remember having to pay Fedex via credit card over the phone. Another time I had to go to the sorting office to pay there, can't remember if it was by cash or card though.

Anyone know if a US NTSC Nintendo 64 will work on the 64DD or does it have to be Jap?

Need to get one fairly soon to go with the 64DD I have on the way.

UPS took a laser card off me at the door before. I was completely stung for the duty, and had no cash on me when they called, they just phoned it in and gave me a receipt.

The Pyongsters Pal Asian MD with a switch kit from www.retrogamingcables.com

Strange one this, not sure if it was hardwired to 60Hz by Sega or if someone modded it in the weirdest way

That tray has seen the insides of many consoles :D Also some curries :p

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,328 ✭✭✭Pyongyang

Could you smell WD-40 on it? I cleaned the console up a bit with a magic sponge yoke and some WD-40. Came up a treat I think. It was in bits before. WD-40 works wonders on old Megadrives apparently. Brings the shine back on dulled consoles.... :)

There was a faint whiff of vintage lubricant off it actually yeah :D

The melting you asked me about inside the console is quite normal, it's how they secured certain sections. Same with the led, again its normal. They bend the legs to prevent the connector sliding off.
