Shame he's s bit older and on a short term deal.

Plenty of time for him to impregnate some ladies though...

I think Brad Thorn is probably the best foreign player to ever play for leinster.

Hmmm. A lot of competition there and, of course, he hasn't actually played yet.

In terms of the contribution they made to Leinster, here's my top five imports:

    1) Nacewa
    2) Contepomi
    3) Elsom
    4) Wright
    5) Hines

And that's leaving out Holwell, Whitaker, le Roux and not counting Strauss...

Now that he's gone I'd have to say Hines was probably one of more important players... Hard to justify him ahead of Elsom or even Conters, but maybe Wright...

I only found out about the deal being confirmed 20 minutes ago, and I have already heard that at least 6 times.

I'm talking about pure talent at the peak of their careers. Not contribution to the team.

    Can't beat Nacewa!

    Interview on LTV

    http://www.leinsterrugby.ie/mdtv/play/media/id/11082

15 months of solid rugby is a lot and he's going to go straight into next season without a break either.

    Hardcore.

    You're right, Thorn's a good player.

Thorn does too much "seen" work. He's got nothing on DOC's "unseen" work!:pac:

I should qualify that im taking the piss,

Thorne is unreal. I wonder how much rugby he has left in him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,707 ✭✭✭BoardsMember

I wonder what kind of cash he's on....

Hopefully he'll buy into this in a big way, and end up busting a gut to show his ability, and make big impressions with those around him. That will, in turn, encourage other players to show how good they are.

This gives us a realistic chance of winning the HCup again.

Fantastic acquisition for Leinster. He'll significantly increase your chances of retaining the HC, but he would want to for the €€€ he'll be lining his pockets with.

Can always count on Captain to see the grey lining in the silver cloud of Leinster rugby!

Where's the grey lining? There's a HC and Rabo up for the taking on the horizon. Thorn's addition to already brilliant team should further ensure silverware. He'll pay for himself in added revenue.

Who gives a crap, if we retained the Heineken Cup he would be worth millions!

Either way, I think he's going to buy into this big time, especially when he talks about honouring the jersey in his first interview.
