yeah of course you would  rafa won two la liga titles with a club not called real or barca, he won a uefa cup, a european cup, got to another final, you sir deserve this

Ok then instead of an off-the-cuff remark here's my view: I'm the anti-rafa camp and have never particularly regarded him as one of the "great managers". He got sacked from his last two jobs and has been unemployed for a considerable time and hasn't been first in line for any of the big jobs that have come up. Given he has in the past clashed with owners I don't think he's right, and will ever be right for Chelsea. I don't want to see him there.

Oh and who would I like to see there? Well Mourinho of course! :)

Didnt Rafa turn down Chelsea? Cant see any worthwhile manager giving them the time of day unless they are just looking for a nice pay out in about a years time. Roman is really backing himself into a corner these days. Everyone knows they wont get the time required so will want huge compensation packages built into their contract before they sign.

Really and truely, thats the only reason managers would want the job nowadays; you're only going to get 9 months before the old hands turn on you and you get a nice big severence package. Until they allow someone to jetison the deadweight and, ya know, actually run the club as a manager, it's the football equivilent of the Defence Against the Dark Arts job :P

I think he did turn them down, I think after taking the Inter job he has to pick his next job very carefully he went into a stale, old inter side and more importantly Moratti tightened the purse strings there which has led to a Huge downward spiral. I doubt Mourinho will return if he does his loyal old guard just has to go and a lot of money needs to be spent at a club that has spent a nice bit lately already. There is always the whole style clash then if Mourinho wins Roman wants it done in his style.

I'd say you're more likely to see Jose take whichever position Harry is not in come the summer (be that Spurs or England) than going back to Chelsea. I just hope he stays away from PL teams till Fergie retires and he comes to United :P

I could see him taking the City job cause they have plenty of dosh and Mancini who has done a good job won't be able to win the Champ League like he was never going to do at Inter(remember when Liverpool played them in the last 16 & they were screaming out for midfield creativity, cause the defence and forwards were good enough). Can't see Mourinho taking the Spurs job its a huge step down from Real and once they'd get him in they wouldn't be able to afford good enough new players to take the next step(unless Utd & City fall off a cliff like Chelsea, Arsenal & in particular Liverpool clearly have).

Ah, the soccer forum. I don't have access to that, and from what i hear, that's just dandy with me! Hear it's swarming with trolls; best left to their own devices. If people aren't amenable to reason and just blindly hate/disregard wrestling...

it's actually the R&R forum - there was a thread ranting at "people who like pro wrestling...grow up" - so a counter thread has been set up defending it!

amazing the views some people have! It's entertainment ffs!

i suppose if it pisses you off enough then go for it, but there's no point on your end trying to convince ignorant people otherwise. It's like trying to convince some redneck yahoo that America isn't the greatest country on earth. If ya don't get wrestling, then it's your loss, go back to whatever karaoke TV show & "real" movies.

I'll make sure any trolls coming this way get insta-banned ;) Keep a weather eye on the horizon :)

I actually posted in that thread, mocking the poster that bumped the thread. Few minutes later, I came to this forum and noticed the thread was gone. When I posted in it, I thought I was in PW, not R&R so I had to go and delete my post :D

Indian women are damn sexy alrite, about the only good thing about Birmingham when I went the was that there was so many of them. Longford I remember going through there once as a kid with my parents bit run of the mill, its one of those places where you say oh it is actually a county like Carlow

Mate of mine attempted it. Found it incredibly tough.
He's not one who cant take studying/essays or whatever. Theres a chance that it could have been just that place he done it in, mind.

Meant to post last nite. Milan were dreadful last nite only they could nearly blow that lead in such a short space of time. Mesbah looks to have joined Pancaro & Antonini in the history books of the worst left backs in the Clubs history. Like the Carling Cup at the end of the day I should be happy but if they play like that your feeling ashamed more than anything.

This United game is hard to watch tbh -_-

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 10,469 ✭✭✭✭GTR63

Can't believe Utd lost to them, yeah they have 2/3 good players but la liga is very poor these days and according to 3e it was deserved(shudders @ the thought of us on it nxt year). City were very poor aswell earlier vs a mediocre(thats being very, very nice) Lisbon side. Lisbons u19's are class though watched them whipe the floor with liverpool's u19s twice.
