The bank wasnt in direct control, they asked the Rangers board to do things with the threat of putting them into administration if they werent satisfied at how the club was operating. The bank wanted their money, not be fixing all Rangers problems.

Whyte will not see the inside of a jail cell imo

Aye, because that's obviously how I meant it.

Do you people get taught to read things the way you want to see them ?

    Got proof for that ?
Why would the bank allow 4m to be spent when it wasn't actually there ?
    Jelle1880 wrote: »
But when a bank is doing something with the sole purpose of earning their money back then they won't spend what's not there.

    That's also basic economics.

I know you have said before that english isn't your first language but come on its pretty clear that you said a bank would not be involverd in something as under hand as allowing money that wasnt there to be spent, yes or no?

Would you also care to elaborate on what or whom you are reffering to with ''you people''??

Why would they do that when their first interest was in getting their money back ?

I know in general that's what they do, but this was no normal case.

As for the 'you people': Celtic fans on here.
It's not the first time a quote is taken and then turned on it's head.

    http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11788/7536468/Whyte-to-stand-down-at-Rangers
Rangers chairman Craig Whyte has confirmed he will stand down from his post once the club comes out of administration.

The news came after Rangers' administrators confirmed on Tuesday money from the Ticketus deal was used by owner Whyte to complete his takeover of the club.

The firm paid £24million to secure the right to sell future season tickets.

According to a statement from the administrator, the cash was used by Whyte to pay the club's £18m debt to Lloyds Banking Group when he completed his takeover last May.

Now all Rangers have to do is find a buyer...
"In terms of exposure, I am personally on the line for £27.5 million in guarantees and cash.

"By any stretch of the imagination that is a very substantial commitment to the football club of which I have been a supporter since I was a boy and dearly wish to see through this crisis so that Rangers emerge as a financially fitter and stronger institution.

"I am the biggest stake-holder in Rangers and I face huge financial losses personally if the restructuring fails or is not allowed to proceed."

Sounds like he wants some "fúck off money".

Because celtic fans already understand the situation. This is for some of the deluded rangers fans that just dont get it yet.

    You!

Your reaction to the ticketus scandal is that of someone that refused to believe what was going on because of the people that were saying it and claimed that selling several seasons of season tickets was normal! You nitpicked over wording trying to discredit articles and information.

Yeah, and then I admitted that it was a mess and that Whyte's a dick, what's your point ?

Everybody here knows how bad it is, this has **** all to do with 'educating Rangers fans'.

Some of the Celtic fans have been trying to 'educate' the Rangers fans on the seriousness of the situation you're in, and have been doing so for a long time before it came to the fore last week. Eventually you admitted Whyte is a dick, but for a long time you refused to believe it, again as Dempsey said, because of who the facts were coming from.

The point stands though Jelle. BobbySands81 has been saying it for months and was continuously shot down for it, people refused to believe it. On here and FF people said it won't happen because Rangers are too big, They are the people after all. This isn't about right or wrong, but the clip is laughable though as there is a lot of truth in the conversation, whether you want to believe that or not.

Would you believe it if it was Rangers fans saying the same things about Celtic ?

Because that's why nobody cared about it, Celtic fans seemed to be the only ones mentioning it (Oh, and the BBC, that bastion of honesty).

Ah yes, blaming the BBC again. My favourite paranoid rant after the FA being a Kangaroo court

I'm old and daft enough to remember the 90's when we were in the ****. I was told this by Rangers fans and the media on a continuous basis. I had no choice but to believe it Jelle, as much as I didn't want to believe this was happening to the club I love.
This was enough for people to demand the truth, answers and change. What's happened at Rangers is a belief that it would never happen to them, and to be honest there's a part of me that understands that.

Do you think if the likes of The Gub/Dingwall/RST etc believed what was being said that something might have been done before it got to this?? My experiences on FF ( I know that forum isn't the voice of rangers fans) are seeing some people being banned for actually questioning Whyte. Now seems as if the penny is dropping for Dingwall.

Nah, the 'FA' is nice, they helped us last season with Bougherra ;)

But there's no denying that BBC Scotland are a joke.

Actually FF was where a lot of people were extremely sceptical about Whyte early on, but not everybody saw it which lead to some discussions.

You seem to think that the allegiance of whoever is writing an article is more important than whether the information given is accurate or not. Thats what you've been at for months on this forum.

Seems that story the BBC ran on Whyte was more accurate than you ever wanted to give credit for! Tell me, did Whyte sue them in the end like he said he would? Are you still taking Whyte's word over the BBC?
