It also broke my sleep when i close my lid. :P

I reckon there will be big hopes for the 'wifi issue from sleep' improvements. Fingers crossed it helps iTunes wifi sync. There was an iTunes update, followed, by airport utility and then airport firmware and now a lion update. Hopefully, it's a process of improvement for the various wifi issues.

Looks good, although I was hoping they would be sorting the air drop problems I've been having.

A step in the right direction - the internal speakers have been restored on my MBP.

Hope it fixes my Wifi issues!

    EDIT: 700+mb for me. It's a biggun.

I've also had to buy more RAM recently for my laptop and iMac. Lion is hungrier than Snow Leopard.

Well downloaded it and it failed to install :(

Went to try again and it seems I have to download it all again? Crappy Apple.

Just updated two machines. Everything went smoothly.

You should always download the combo version - that way if you ever need to re-apply fixes/re-install the OS you have the file on hand.

This didn't go smoothly for me at all, for the first time in 2 or 3 years. When I logged back in after the install process the machine was very sluggish and when I tried to restart I saw a weird GUI error called CUI error.

A real pain in the ass. No apps would work.

Had to boot into recovery and reinstall Lion. This seems to be very common from the brief search I done. To avoid it they recommend going with the combo update rather than an incremental update.

Solution for those who have the same problem -
    http://www.tuaw.com/2012/02/02/os-x-10-7-3-causing-cui-errors-for-some-combo-update-recommende/

Although it says "Holding down the R key at startup will boot you into Recovery" But for me I had to hold down Option+R.

I never even heard of a combo version before - whats it mean ?
Not running Lion by the way - very happy to have stayed on SL - which Frankly, rocks!:D

I installed the update today on my MBP. No issues at all. A pain free update.

From what I understand a combo update is a full update from OSX Lion version 10.7.0 to whatever the latest version is, 10.7.3 in this case. So you can update straight from 10.7.0 to 10.7.3, bypassing 10.7.1etc.. . An incremental update is the update you get when you use 'Software Update' on your mac. It only downloads the update required to go from 10.7.2 to 10.7.3, if that's the version you're currently running. A lot of people recommend downloading the combo update because it's a clean update without any conflicts between previous versions. If you know what I mean. That said I've never had to use a combo update until now because I've never had problems before.

On the issue of Lion v SL I would definitely recommend Lion. It's a much better OS and runs very well. I've experienced no bugs apart from this latest software update, which I solved pretty easily. I find it much quicker & smoother than SL and mission control is great. And it's only €24.

Ta but I'll be sticking to SL. Need it too much to be dealing with compatability issues etc if they do arise.

Second time trying and it hung the system again.

Will just leave off on this one for a while.

Seems like installing the combo update as a means to un**** 10.7.3 problems is the way to go! If I check for updates, it presents me with 10.7.3 combo updater at 1.34GB even though I'm on 10.7.2!

Think I'll wait, I seem to be the only person on the planet who thinks Lion works!

    I reverted back to SL.

CPU runs a lot higher in Lion also the battery life isn't the same, there is certainly a link between the two.

This on a mid 2010 MBP, 8GB ram.

I'm still running SL on both my Macs. Just too many issues reported with Lion and SL runs smoothly enough for me, so no real reason to change.

I've 4GB RAM but have never noticed more than 2GB being used at any one time no matter what I've been doing.

Lion works perfectly for me, I've never had any issues. I think its just some people being pedantic and moaning/complaining for the sake of it.

I too got the combo update even though I was previously on 10.7.2. It doesn't bother me, I'll just go and update it now.

Your cocoon sounds like a happy place.

Meanwhile back in the real world...

Apple have silently updated the 10.7.3 update

Anyone else having issues with Safari since the update?.
Mines gone to crap...crashing, freezing, zoom not working.

I've been lucky up until now, having not had any issues with Lion at all since installing it.

Yeah I use Chrome on the Windows PC in work.
I never bothered changing on the Mac at home, up until now Safari has been grand so I always just left well enough alone.

Would you have the same plugins for Chrome on the Mac as you would with Safari?

I find Flash plays nicer with Safari than Chrome or FF.

If you are running Quark 9 DO NOT UPDATE. Serious bug and Quark are working with Apple to resolve. No fix yet.
