Well, I can now well image it lurking in a local rookery.
Quick google on modern bird colouration returned this article.

Let's not jump to conclusions, just because the wing feathers were black doesn´t mean the rest of the animal was. It may even be that the wing feathers themselves weren´t even fully black...

I like to colour in the wing feathers black and write TBC elsewhere.
