Brilliant. He's the glue that's holding our midfield together IMO. Hopefully he's had a decent rest because we need him to play every game.

Nice simple play, keeps posession and gives both Walcott and Ramsey a dig out while also letting both stick to what they're good at.

Eh I could ask what is it that Walcott is good at ? ;)

Apart from the sh**e news about Wilshere, is there any news about transfers ?
    Anything at all ? :(

I am not allowed discuss …

Wilshere, Vermaelen, Ramsey, Rosicky, Eduardo, Diaby...

Who'll miss all of next season? My money is on Kos.

I'm gonna go with the safer option and say van Persie. Why is it always a vital player this happens to? Never hear of season long injuries for Walcott, Arshavin, Chamakh.

a setback might be anything. It may not be the same injury.

It might be a hamstring tweak which can happen when returning from a longterm injury.

When Walcott was of use to us (ie when he had the best creative midfielder on the planet supplying him) he missed 3 months of every season.

I doubt van Persie will be even here next season...

Just looking at that list, with the exception of Rosicky, it seems the hex is on younger players in or just finishing their breakthrough or debut season.

    Watch out Chamberlain.

So Wenger confirms Wilshere had a "little injury setback" but can't comment any further as he doesn't know how bad it Is bull**** i say, either way I don't like the sound of it.

He also states were not chasing any players we fcuking better be

Wilshere is just s little set back "sigh"

Ramsey has played in 34 games in the last four and a half months. About 1.7 games a week. He's only just turned 21 years old.

Wenger needs to buy and give players like Ramsey a much needed rest

    Get with the programme.
There will be NO signings as usual.

Probably not but I'm not giving up hope until the window closes even though I know how unlikely it is.

On a plus note he did also say there will be no players leaving this month, which means we have the pleasure of seeing Arshavin Chamakh and co for a few more months. Deeps breaths everyone try your best not to get to excited over the prospect of that.

Why can't it be Wenger who goes missing for a season through injury.
    :)

Wenger has made his bed now by refusing to sign anyone. Wilshere wont play again properly this season and diaby probably the same.

I can see the fans on Wengers back and him walking.

Young guns saying that even with good news wilshere is out for 6 weeks. End of the season it's looking like.

On the other hand chamakh is coming back early from the acn, woooooo!

Wilshere = TV this year around. We'll see him for the last two games of the season.

The last two years have really been banging your head against the wall stuff for us. A bit of respite would nice.

    Dear Football Gods,

We would be most obliged if you could supply one of the following [in order of priority] (i) Champions League (ii) 4th place (iii) FA Cup.

    Many thanks,

    Long suffering Arsenal fans.

    Hooray!!!!

Hopefully he gets lost (just until February even) somewhere on the way and Wenger has to sign a (capable) replacement for him :D

If he and RVP were to stay fit, I can see us putting together a run to overtake Chelsea.

Oops. For some reason typed Walcott instead of Song there.

Obviously it was an error because Walcott has been poor recently regardless of who's on the pitch.

I think wenger will use the ox as an extra central midfielder in wilsheres absence from his comments this morning

Yeah that'd be worth a shot, although it keeps Walcott and arshavin on the wings.

Just read the little article on the arsenal site about Wenger praising kos, saying he's one of the best in the league this season. I know many here like him and would probably agree but has he got any notice outside of arsenal fans? Even that thread about team of the season so far, he doesn't even get considered for a bench place for non arsenal fans? I dunno i guess people still think our defense is sh!te therefore anyone playing there must be too.

Koscielny is good enough but he did play at Old Trafford when the defence shipped 8 goals. He has improved this season but he needs to bulk up a bit, that said I wouldn't have him a team of the season ahead of Vermaelen or Kompany.

I thought he looked very poor last year remember the Carling Cup final, he lost us that imo. He has put it behind him now though.

Typical penny pinching, the fact he hasn't bought anyone this month is a disgrace. And then he will blame injuries once again, like he already has despite the fact he won't buy or loan anyone.

He would rather move Chamberlain out of his position and play the ****e like Arshavin and Walcott, then actually going and buying a proper quality player to improve the side.

Thank **** his days at the club are numbered.
