Keatley got a couple of minutes but yeah, he probably should get more. But then...in a tight game, I wouldn't trust him atm. Maybe at centre, but you can't take off ROG when there's only a score in it.

No you can't. Which is why he shouldn't be starting in the first place. You need him on at the end if the game is close but he holds Munster back the rest of the time.
I think Munster used more players than any other team in the Magners League last year

And I think they will benefit hugely from that two years down the line. One of Munster's biggest problems is that while Kidney and Gaffney were in charge, during international windows the young and inexperienced players would play brilliant games and carry them through but when then be immediately dropped for the internationals when they came back. Balanced and rotated teams like what Schmidt is doing really are the way forward imo.
As for them being average- I think you're being a little unfair to some of them.

Perhaps. Some of them are quite good players. They're not going to put fear into the opposition though.

    1. You're probably right. Bit late for that now though. I wouldn't really want Keatley to start at 10 against Northampton or in a quarter-final. Maybe he should start some of the bigger games in the pro12, maybe the Leinster one and see how he does.

    2. Yeah, I agree. Especially in the modern game, teams need to be rotated. If we want to compete at the top level.

    3. And no they wouldn't. But then again... there's very few teams that have top class players all over the pitch. Even Leinster, who are arguably the best team around have 5 maybe 6 players who would put fear in the opposition. That's a lot but they are the best... Munster have maybe 3 but they are all aging. I'd hope that POM could become one of those players, maybe Jones and Murray too.
