    Hi Guys,

We are planning on doing a musical in next year however we have one problem, I can't find any music online that matches the score. All CD's music online are from the Broadway production. However only the rights are available for the touring version which is slightly different from the Broadway version. Has anyone else encountered problems like that? And if so how did ye get around it?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Have you checked out youtube for other performances of the touring version, it's very simple to convert youtube videos to mp3 tracks.

I have, but some songs I can't find at all, they must of re written some of the music. I'm still going through some clips, hopefully something shows up

    Hi steyer,

Usually when I get the score (piano vocal version) I go onto Itunes and check all the different albums associated with it.. basically if they have the overture complete then the rest is ok.. The thing i look for is that they keys of the tracks match the score too.. takes a while to find the right one (if it;s the right album they generally have about 20+ tracks too but they'll try and pawn off a load of "Highlights from the musical" albums)

    Hope that helps

I havn't been involved with that many musicals but generally the broadway score I find in the local library matches the version the rights guys send out later.
