    Not in that way.

Anyway, I've given up on trying to watch any on-demand movie service on the D-Row wireless - should I file a complaint to ITD about it?

I did earlier in the semester. There's a dedicated email address (dromroeitd@ul.ie or something like that, not sure off the top of me head) Got a phone call then saying that it must just have been my laptop, even though my laptop has no problems with any other network. So I pretty much gave up on them as a waste of time.

You'd think it'd be speeding up now, what with people starting to head home after exams, and less footfall from the public given the weather and shizz.

Door wont open to AM061, card wont even unlock it! WTF!!!

it stopped working at about 12 ish. got phil griffin to see what the story was and even his card wasnt working at AMO or the fourth yr lab downstairs.
he said he'd try get it sorted anyway.

i assume its a time lock issue on securitys/ B&E end.

leave the bin in the door to keep it open or a thick piece of cardboard between the magnets should see you sorted.

Students are required to be seated 20 minutes before the exam is due to commence.

Daft, I know, but such is life.

Opened my Electrical engineering paper, couldn't do it. Any of it. Left after an hour of staring at it, redrawing the circuits. Went off and did 9 hours of Chemistry so hopefully I can redeem myself in some way.

Does anyone else just not "get" electronics?

Repeating Maths and Electrical engineering. All the other subjects are grand though.

i did that module last year, with martin right?

a lot in engineering so far, i find that the focus is on theory
"do it now understand it later" sorta thing.

in some respects its an ok way to be depending on what type of engineering your after, mech,aero..... where something like electronics is likely to be a very small part of your career.

but back to your point about not getting it, a good portion of my year only had a vague understanding of it by the end.
conceptually it can be difficult especially if you didn't have any experience of it before.
i find youtube and google good tools for the understanding bit.

Well I was given the wrong timetable in first year, and walked into a lecture she was doing by mistake..... she almost ripped the face off me.... so since then I've done my best to avoid her at all costs. :pac: :pac:

I think I just about passed electronics, chem today was a total balls though and I haven't done ANYTHING for computing so far so heres hoping!

    John Nelson?

He's by far my favourite lecturer ever. he's always grinning. I bet he gets some great sex or something to be that happy.

his exams are pretty reasonable even if you don't understand the subject, and I believe the repeats are easy enough fwiw.

I'm in AM061 now, two books with me and I haven't a clue where to start =P Chemistry was grand, didn't do it for the LC either. 9 hours in the library makes a big difference!
Computing will be bad though, baaaaaaaaad.

I'm assuming this is still Matlab. Write the code into matlab and see what you get and try and work backwards.

    Got A1 in that - it's handy.

How can I lob it into matlab when it's a written test? Are you talking about studying? I've been doing that but when they ask is:
"n-1:-1:n" a valid comand, it doesn't really give you all that much...

Well write n-1:-1:n into Matlab and see if you get an error

Seriously.... what is wrong with people in Dromroe... that middle waste compoundy thingy is a f*cking disgrace. There were about 8 empty bins in the middle yet people still dropped their sh*t at the entrance, making it impossible to actually get in there..... grow the f*ck up. Even if they were all full, take your sh*t to one of the other centres.

i'm not to sure why you would need solid works the mechanical engineering course only uses Pro E Creo which you can use in Amo 61
