Urlacher, being the bitter old sod that he is, took a dig at Tebow after the game saying when asked what he thought of Tebow - "He’s a good running back, man. He runs the ball well".

Obviously it's lost on Urlacher that it doesn't reflect well on him and his defence that a "good running back" was able to make 18 completions for 191 yards from the start of the 4th quarter.

Of course, Tebow was nothing but the embodiment of class when asked about Urlacher's comments - "I guess that's a compliment coming from a good player."

Arguing with tebow, is like arguing with a girlfriend. We get angry and say crap we regret, and they just take the moral high ground and dont get sucked into the war of words.. . ..

    ....
    ..

    :O:O:OTEBOW IS A GIRL!

I lost any respect for Urlacher when Tom Brady did this:

One of those players is going to the Hall of Fame and it won't be Tebow.

Not surprised he comes out saying this. I'm very worried that the players will turn off with 3 games to go.

I think you missed his sarcasm dude.

The problem with the Pats game for Tebow is if his defense don't keep the score close for him will Tebow be able to start the game the way he finishes them? Detroit showed us what happens if you open up on the Broncos Tebow's late comebacks are irrelevant.

As a Pats fan I fear we will get sucked in like other teams and implode defensively and considering our secondary is already sh1te that aint a good thing. But offensively I do feel the Broncos have a hard task on their hands.

The question for me Sunday will be can Tebow come straight of the gates and go toe to toe with Brady. Because if anything this is going to be an offensive battle. Denver's defense isnt amazing and neither is the Pats.

As a Broncos fan you surely must worry about what happens if Brady and Co open up early and you and its a decent sized game. Will a 4th Quarter comeback be good enough?

Knowing the Pats though this will be a tight affair.

Thing is, the Detroit game is looking more and more like a fluke. Stafford, Megatron and Scheffler were on fire, allowing them to open up. Not to mention blown coverages etc, the team was just all over the place that day, 6 wins later and we're far more disciplined and all around better. Even then it took quite a number of stalled drives early on before they could and all hell broke loose. I'd say its 50/50 or so whether or not they open up early or we keep it close... if we keep it close into the second half, then game on obviously.

We keep the pats quiet and you never know... Brady has historically struggled against the broncos, especially in Denver. I still think we lose but this will be interesting.

He had statistically struggled at the Redskins too...but that all changed yesterday! ;)

To be fair, it wasn't easy and that's a bad Redskins team. Shanny is long past it as a coach, unfortunately. Unless he can cash in on the manning sweepstakes or something, that team's going nowhere soon. Maybe if they get RGIII.

What i am worried about, **** scared actually, is if it becomes doubted in the media that the pats will win this week. Because when that happens, Brady gets pissed off and goes into "**** you" mode and ends up playing class (Jets game this year a good example of this)

Can you not even take a defeat without saying you played badly? Tebow was sacked 7 times ffs. Tebow threw an Int. He was passing all over the shop and your running game was going nowhere. But yet its a fluke?

Its funny when someone blames blown coverages for Tebow making passes Broncos fans say no it was Tebow being good but when you get spanked by Detroit you say Oh it was blown coverages and mistakes that won the game for Detroit  Detroit pressured your QB and because of this won the game. They kept Tebow quiet all game long and aren't you guys telling us he is winning the game for you? Well guess what happens when a D-line own him? Calling it a fluke is nonsense.

    Anyways saw this today:

To be fair the defense were on the field practically for the whole game. The Denver offense sucked and turned the ball over 3 times though an Int and 2 Fumbles. As I said Tebow got sacked 7 times and the offense never really got going. Detroit took advantage of this and piled it on offensively.

My point is it was nowhere near a fluke and to call is madness. But as I said its typical the goal posts are being moved to suit the opinion of those defending Tebow. Detroit beat them up Oh we gave Detroit to much room. Tebow wins games due to the same thing Oh that was all Tebow with his passing and their defense werent to blame.

Im saying that the fact we played that badly was a fluke. And it was, to be fair. The only other game we got blown out of was @Green Bay, and thats @ Green Bay with Rodgers putting up 6 TDs ffs. Every other game was within a score, with defeats of 3, 3 and 5 points respectively in the Oakland, Titans and Chargers games. Not unreasonable surely? Detroit kicked our asses because we shat the place out of it that day, we couldnt buy a 1st down, tebow got owned by their line and he had way too much to try and do in his 5th start.

The lions wasn't a fluke. You just came up against a team who have a average defene and offense. Every other games it's been against either a team with a terrible offense or terrilbe defense.

So we're 35 points worse off than a good team then? I didn't think the AFC west was that bad now... No team loses by 35 points and plays well

It was a fluke that we got thrashed like that, as i said, all but 3 of our games have been decided by a score. The 3 bigger wins being one dished @ Oakland and two taken @ GB and DET. Green Bay were just on fire and DET we were ****ing shocking bad.

As I said you've been smashed by teams who have a bit of balance on both sides of the ball, the Lions and the Packers. It's no fluke. If Oakland and Vikings didn't have a bottom 5 defene it would have been misery aswell. Equally if Bears and Dolphins didn't have QB's who shouldn't even be starting in the nfl it would have been similar story.

Listened to him many times before and Skip Bayless was a knob end long before Tebow came around.

Tebow vs Patriots this weekend then, this forum will in all likelihood implode. It's worrying that Brady is only 1-6 vs the Broncos, it's gonna be one he'll of a tight game.

Can anyone see the correlation between Eli and the giants in 08 and tebow?

Tebow to down the unbeaten packers in the Super Bowl in feb?

In recent weeks, opposing teams have been doing their best to try and belittle what the Broncos had going with Tim Tebow. From calling him a running back to saying the offense was 'crap', the intimidation game, or simple lack of respect, has been running rampant from Broncos opponents.

Don't expect the New England Patriots to fall for it.

Have already received glowing reviews from quarterback Tom Brady and owner Robert Kraft, Tim Tebow's most recent admirer from the northeast is Patriots coach Bill Belichick, who was his usual self in talking with the media about Tebow, the Broncos and Sunday's game.

"Obviously, the Broncos are doing a good job of playing complementary football — offense, defense and special teams, " Belichick said. "They've made some key plays when they had to ... It's good team play and Tim has done a great job for them in the running game, handling the offense, throwing the ball, getting the ball down the field, also taking what the defense has given them."

That's right, complementary football was mentioned.

Belichick also was quick to squelch any talk of Tebow's perceived inconsistent throwing motion.

"I don't agree with any of that. He's got some very good throws. As good as anybody you want to put in there."

Glad to see a football mind like Belichick sees what Tebow's got, while also praising the team. No cheap shots from him or the Pats players about Tebow being a "good running back"(urlacher) or being "pissed if we lose to them" (briggs)

There were rumours Belichick was interested in drafting Tebow as a project QB in the later rounds in 2010, imagine this forum if that had transpired!

Belichick and Kraft took Tebow out to dinner before the draft, wished him luck, gave him some advice etc. I'm sure had he fallen to round 3/4 they may just have pulled the trigger.

They would have done the right thing and fixed him into a NFL QB. And he would have been mentored by one of the best in the business. and most of all no one would be shouting for timmy to get a shot. Just what tebow needs.

I think McDaniels took him where he did because he felt BB would have taken him.

Just thinking there now, you got Tebow and Demaryius Thomas doing their thing of late and then Zane Beadles, Eric Decker and J.D. Walton and its a really good draft.

In a couple of years time in a redux of the 2010 draft they could be getting and A+.

Had perrish cox not been a ****ing idiot it would have been even better, he looked great in the year we had him but he threw it away. 09 draft was an abomination but 10 draft was pretty class in hindsight. Kinda summed up McDaniels in a nutshell, there was actually a good bit he did that was very good, but there was just more that was ****ing awful. Thing is, i still to this day will maintain that he was one of the best around in understanding the Xs and Os and getting the right players in. Before he came in we had a combination of some of the worst characters and lazy useless ****ers i had ever seen on a team and now we have a ton of high character leaders, most of whom he brought in.

In 08 our standout players were the likes of:
Cutler: Has grown up a lot in the last 2 years in Chicago, but was an awful child back then as evidenced by his tantrums in the whole row with McDaniels as well as a very infantile and stupid spat with Philip Rivers which he was solely to blame for.
Marshall: Idiot, as he keeps showing again and again.
Hillis: Good player, liked him but he's stirring up a lot of trouble in cleveland over a contract all year

Aside from this, we also had a shower of castoffs on Defence that would make the Pats secondary today look like all pros and one that was coached by Bob Slowik, one of the worst Defensive coordinators EVER (look at his track record). That year I remember on a number of occasions where the opposition would pick up a 20 yard gain and the player who tackled him would do a celebratory dance, it was ****ing shambolic.

McDaniels came in, cleaned house and brought in respected veterans from good teams. Guys like Dawkins, Gaffney, Buckhalter, Holliday, Ty Law, Goodman and Paxton, while getting Mike Nolan in to coach them. It created the right attitude, one which has largely endured. More players are left from the McDaniels days than from the Shanahan ones, of which only Bailey, Woodyard, Clady, Kuper, Royal , Larsen, Thomas, DJ Williams and Dumervil remain. McDaniels left us Dawkins, Goodman, Ayers, Tebow, Thomas, Decker, Beadles, Walton, Colquitt and Mays as quality starters. Haggan, while a rotational player, was signed by Shanahan to fill a gap in 08 but i credit his rise to a decent player to McDaniels, who kept him as a rare defensive holdover in 08 and made him a captain. Out of Shanahan's holdovers, only two actually are veterans in Bailey and Williams, nearly all the rest were recent enough additions before he got fired.

The problem with McDaniels was that he had the same problem as most Pats Assistants turned coaches-he was a bad man manager. He fought with everybody, Cutler, Marshall, Scheffler, Mike Nolan-you name it. Because of this the team turned mentally fragile after the 2009 collapse and it went pear shaped after THAT defeat to Oakland when he cruelly berated staff members and players in view of the owner in order to illustrate who was in charge. After that, the team just quit on him.

Personnel wise i'd give McDaniels a B, Coaching wise an F. He was a lot like Eric Mangini when he was at the Jets, he brought in a rake of good players that they still have there but was just a crap man manager.
