hi all new to this , did anybody do there assesment in louis fitzgerald hotel naas rd did the assesment 3 weeks ago now and havent heard anything , not so hopeful after reading this thread you guys have interview done and all , they never rang or e-mailed either way anyone else get no answer after assesment raging I didnt see this before now :mad:

Welcome!! As far as I was aware, all assessments were done in Citywest hotel but I could be wrong. My assessment was in the middle of August I think. I know someone who had their assessment the same day as me and they got a call to say they didn't get through to the interview at this stage but they may be called for one at a later date.

I've been following this thread to keep up to date and this is my first comment. I did my assessment this day two weeks ago, in the Citywest Hotel and my interview last Wednesday. I was under the impression that the interviews would be finished up last Thursday, but I think someone said on here earlier that they were still ongoing up until Monday of this week??

ezmace... I'd ring the helpline if I was you, you should have been contacted either way by now. They're obviously running well behind schedule.

I got a call to say im now starting the 17 th of this month , dont know why the change was made but happy all the same as it means il be out of dublin by mid november , and can settle in to my new routine before the christmas ,

I feel sorry for those still waiting its hard to deal with i was the same watchin the phone like a hawk and making a dive for it whenever it rang just try to relax and hope the call arrives im sure its tough for the recruitment company too as its eircom that chose the final candidates so i assume they can only make the calls to decide who is in and who didnt make it when eircom inform them

Still cant believe i made it though

Who else is starting on the 17th

I'd love if i was switched to the 17th aswell just to get started, have you heard anything about when your medical is or if your referee's were called focusowner

My boss was called yesterday and medical next week

Thanks man, i havent got a date for my medical yet, did your boss have to write out a referance or did they just call him, my boss was wondering today about it.

Same as me, This is my first comment, I done my interview last thursday and my assesment last thursday week! They told me it was going to be at least 2weeks before i hear anything back so anyone panic'in stop! I know its not easy sitting and waiting for the call but no news is good news!! Im praying i get in because iv a huge intrest in this line of work and would love to persue a career with eircom, But i know theres a huge standard of people going for this so im hopful i done OK!

lads can i ask how they got information on your referees????

did you have to give them numbers of your referees when you were offered the position???

i just checked back on my initial application and theres no mention of referees thats why im wondering?

When you are offered the position, they will then ask you for your previous or current employers details then mate.

I'm startin on 17th had my medical yesterday and they rang my referee yesterday. just wanna hear back from them now so i can try and organise accomodation and see where we will be placed

I emailed ian yesterday to find out as i need to sort accomodation, he said 1st 4 weeks in HSQ and we should find out where after that in the next week

Yeah, it wasnt Ian who rang me. It was the.guy I had to meet for the interview, relieved in one sense but a severe kick in the bollox in another... Ah well, chin up....

How much longer can they drag it out, in all fairness?? I know it's their first time doing it so there will be teething issues but this is killing me. It seems like even the people that have gotten through aren't getting much information as to how long they'll be in what area to help them look for accommodation and all that!! If it is alphabetical then I'll be waiting another while..... it's along way to Woods!!
