Sky News had a pre packaged video ready for this moment. Says it all really.
Most journalistic bodies, especially newspapers, have obituries pre-prepared so they can get them out ASAP (as obituries have to be carefully written, too).

While having one for Amy Winehouse is cynical, it's not exactly surprising, even her father had said he'd already written her eulogy (according to RTE news.)

RIP, sad to see such talent taken by addiction.

What sort of an ignorant fcuking idiot would wish death on anyone.....especially someone they dont even know (apart from what they read about the person in the celeb forum and tabloids).

I thought this was a condolence thread? If people cant even be bothered to offer that then why not just go to sickapedia or some other of those websites which is more suited to your "discussions".

    Rest in Peace Amy

Oh Dear What A Pity, Never Mind

Just had a flick through the Music channels and not one of them seems to give a fook

They are right as well :D

Many a day I've left my front door whistling Amy Winehouse tunes and felt in a good mood, and I probably will again for years.

She was a great musician and we are all better off having had her and at a loss now that she's gone. One of the few good artists to have graced the charts amidst the reality show muck in the last decade or so.

A sad end to what was probably a very sad and painful life.

It's tragic to think that Amy Winehouse will become just another cautionary tale about "Rock n Roll excess". She had a real, and genuine talent. Very sad news, and no matter what way you look at it, 27 is no age to die.

I used to get mistaken for Pete Doherty sometimes when my friends would tell girls in nightclubs 'that guy is Pete Doherty', it was a great excuse to act like an utter ****ing **** tbh. I reckon he has it handy.

What do you mean "the 27 club".

    I'm hugely interested?

Never heard of this club before......

Just an odd coincidence where musicians die aged 27
    Jim Morrison
    Janis Joplin
    Jimi Hendrix
    Kurt Cobain

He's in jail in the UK and once he gets out it looks like he'll be tried in Germany, don't think he has it too easy any more!

Perhaps now she can be at peace. She was clearly a tortured soul, god love her.

I wonder what happened to her as a kid to make her go wild like
she did there must have been a reason to her misery.

she had tons of advice help ..........

    Tina Turner 2008

''My view of Amy is that her problems started before her success and the drugs are making it hard for her to deal with this success,
" the Mirror quoted her, as saying. When you buy drugs that feeling passes and you have nothing.
I don't even know if you can remember what that feeling was. You get nothing from drugs except a feeling and bad health.''

    1. Very sad to hear about her death. Like many have said, it really was only a matter of time. Such a shame to see a talent destroyed like that from drugs and drink. I'm not claiming she was a genius but she sure had talent. RIP Amy.

    2. What is with the self righteous people moaning about anyone showing sympathy towards Amy and her family? Yes, the tragedy in Norway is horrific and I am not comparing it to this. Why on earth should it be compared? It's not a ****ing competition. When someone dies from drink/drug/suicide/whatever, do you immediately say ''meh they wasted their lives. oh well, it's not as bad as the holocaust blah blah blah"

    Seriously. Show some respect :(

Tbh it's completely hypocritical to be praising Amy Winehouse and calling Pete Doherty a scumbag.

Regardless of who they were, 27 is too young to die. So much life yet to be lived. Cant say I ever had anything good to say about her myself but its tragic nonetheless.
